*4 WHEEL/AWD REQUIRED FOR WINTER BOOKINGS* Authentic log cabin on 70 private acres of pristine Vermont forest with hiking/snowshoe trails, river & mountain stream. Cozy up by the huge wood burning fireplace & enjoy coffee or stargazing on the rocking porch while taking in the mountain views & wildlife & explore the forest & rivers. The cabin is adorned with vintage decor & cozy braided rugs. Enjoy making meals in the fully stocked kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, Keurig coffee & double sinks.

The space
**PLEASE NOTE: for winter bookings, you must have a 4 wheel drive (AWD) vehicle. We plow and sand regularly, but there are steep inclines that require AWD when snow is on the road.***

**We want to assure our guests that we are taking great precautions during this time by wearing gloves and masks as we clean, sanitizing high-touch surfaces such as switches, lamps, handles, appliances, etc and following the CDC guidelines and AirBNB's instructions for safe cleaning procedures. We spray the air with lysol and the furniture with disinfectant cloth spray**

We searched for 7 years to find the perfect place to move to from Colorado, and the moment we saw this cabin, we knew this was it! It is THE dream cabin. It has all of the modern amenities you could want, but with the rustic coziness you dream of for a cabin getaway in the woods.

The bedroom is in the upstairs loft that is open to the main floor. It does not have its own door. It has a very comfy queen mattress and space for an additional floor mattress, if needed. The sofa folds out into a memory foam queen bed. There is a dining table that seats 4-5, as well as an island with 2 stools.

Our private 70 acres also backs to hundreds of undeveloped acres for abundant hiking and outdoor opportunities. Snow shoeing and cross country skiing are wonderful activities for the trails.

The cabin is private and secluded, yet only 15 minutes from our favorite restaurant and coffee shop in Hoosick Falls, and 20 minutes to everything in Bennington, 35 min. to Manchester.

The WIFI is dual bonded DSL, but it may not be the speeds you are used to. It is typically fast enough to stream Netflix or Hulu without any problems, but it can be inconsistent. There is usually no cell reception on the property at all, but you may use WIFI calling if your phone has that option. There is a large TV and blu-ray/DVD player with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon apps that you may use your own account with, as well as several local channels. There are also some board games and books available for your enjoyment.

The kitchen has both a Keurig and regular coffee maker, as well as lots of kitchen items like muffin tins, baking sheets, and cookware. There is a bathroom with a shower, soap, and shampoo. Coffee, tea, sugar, flour, spices, and condiments are provided. Fresh linens and towels, extra pillows, and cozy blankets are provided.

There is an additional guest cabin available for rent for larger groups that sleeps 2 (plus a floor mattress, if needed). It has a bathroom and mini fridge & microwave. Laundry may be available by request, but not guaranteed, for longer stays. Please inquire.

Guest access
The driveway down to the main road is about .6 miles long and uphill to the cabin. The remaining roads to get to the cabin are county-maintained roads with regular plowing and grading. Your hosts plow and sand the driveway.

**PLEASE NOTE: for winter bookings, you must have a 4 wheel drive (AWD) vehicle. We plow and sand regularly, but there are steep inclines that require AWD when snow is on the road.***

There is a circle driveway that leads to the front of the main log cabin. There is a garage (that kind of looks like a house, but it isn't) across from it. This garage is for the host's storage & workshop use only. There is a turnout for overnight parking, or you may park on the circle drive.
The host's home is nearby, and we are always happy to help with anything you might need during your stay. In the winter months, the house is visible from the front door of the cabin, but not from any windows in the cabin. It is very private. In the leafy months, the hosts home is almost completely obscured.

**We want to assure our guests that we are taking great precautions during this time by carefully sanitizing high-tough surfaces and following the CDC guidelines and AirBNB's instructions for safe cleaning procedures.**

Other things to note

It has a queen bed and space for an additional floor mattress. It has vaulted ceilings, lots of windows, a 3/4 bath, rocking porch with beautiful views and the sounds of the mountain stream. We love good coffee, beautiful forests, colorful falls, and snowy winters. We spent 19 years enjoying Colorado before moving to our dream property in Vermont. It took us 7 years of searching for "the one" before we finally found this amazing property. Bryce is a professional photographer and Christine dabbles in house design.

We have some optional experiences we may be available to provide such as ATV rides on the property or foraging walks, if interested. You may also be able to book a photography session by an award-winning professional photographer (search for website Bryce Boyer to see his work) for an additional fee.
