About This Listing
What we have to offer you, and even a small family, is a lovely spacious 20 sq. m., south-facing room in a 160 sq. metre Berlin apartment in the well-known Kollwitzplatz area in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.
The bedroom has a double bed 160 x 200. We can put in an extra single bed for a third person. The room adjoins a private breakfast area, which faces south-east and has large French windows. There is WiFi and we supply towels and blankets and will try our best to fulfill any other wishes. Please ask.
The apartment building is located on the fourth floor of a building built in the 1870s and refurbished in 2002. Hanno + Zaki moved in right after. Their daughter Suraya joined them six years ago. Suraya is a well-travelled little girl and is very used to being a host herself.
The kitchen separates the guest area from the family area. You are more than welcome to enjoy our very relaxing bathtub-room, cook in our well-equipped kitchen, use the washing machine and dryer, and all other amenities. You will be sharing with us the shower / bathroom. The shower is an open concept, which means the floor does get wet. But if you do not mind this, neither do we. You are also more than welcome to enjoy our front balcony which overlooks the sycamore trees.
The apartment is very close to major public transport lines - the U2 underground and M2 tram lines take you to Alexanderplatz, one of Berlin's major transport nodes. The M10 is also just a few minutes away and connects to the just as interesting Berlin districts of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. You can even walk it to the city centre (Mitte).
There are restaurants and cafes, public squares with playgrounds. On Saturdays, the Kollwitzplatz market boasts a range of exquisite stands, that offer fine foods, organic fruits and vegetables, handmade wares and much more. A highlight here is a stand specialisng in a finer version of the renowned Berliner Currywurst. On Thursdays, the Kollwitzplatz organic market offers a smaller selection, which nevertheless covers all your needs. The well-known flea market, open on Sundays, at the Mauer Park is also walking distance.
We look forward to having you with us, and also to help you during your stay in whatever way we can.
From Mar 1 - May 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 1 night.
Zaki et Hano sont très accueillants. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans un appartement très agréable. Ils ont été de bons conseils et bienveillants. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement.

The apartment interior is very impressive, bright and open with views to the exterior at all points in the space. The room itself is fantatastic as well very heigh ceilings and views to a beautiful courtyard below.
We spent 6 days in the space and Zaki and Hanno couldn't have been more helpful or engaging. We will definitely stay with them when we return to Berlin.

About the Host, HaZaSu
HaZaSu is Hanno, Zaki and Suraya. We, Hanno and Zaki, are media professionals. We both teach media and develop our own projects, very often with our nine-year-old daughter Suraya.
We love to travel for work and to visit friends elsewhere on this earth. Suraya has been on the move since she was six months, accompanying us when we are researching and working.
It has been a wonderful experience getting to know so many people from around the world. We are good at figuring out how much privacy or support our guests wish for.
Wonderful for breakfast and coffee/tea and cake. Dinner is just as good. Lovely seating inside. In the summer, Café Anne Blume is even better, as it has a lovely spacious terrace where the sun shines.Kollwitzstraße Berlin Berlin 10435
Best German Torte. Great breakfast. Very cosy café inside, especially nice during the colder months. Sunny street seating in summer, which is why it is so very popular when the days get longer.Kollwitzstraße Berlin Berlin 10435
The Yuri Gagarin feel makes this place so appealing. You get Russian beer and great Virgin Mojitos. You also get pretty good food at a good price, like Schnitzel with lots of fries or just the fries.Knaackstr. Berlin 10405
