What a nice and peaceful place. The welcoming was great, the bread amazing, and Willy explained to use about the region and history and made great recommendations for our super short stay in the area- thank you both so much!! I wish we had more time but hopefully we will return soon :)
We had a lovely time at La Corne. As with other reviews, we wish we had booked a longer stay! Marie-Christine and Willie are warm and welcoming. They gave us great advice on what to do with the short time we had in the area. We had freshly baked bread in the morning with homemade jams and eggs from their chickens! Willie even gave us a tour of his winemaking facility. And the apartment is spacious and homey. We had everything we needed, including all the kitchen wares to cook a few meals. Great location for exploring the Bordeaux area and thoughtful, kind hosts. Highly recommended. We will be back one day for a longer stay!
Just arrived home after three wonderful weeks with Marie-Christine and Willy. We loved every moment: the house, the surroundings, and the very kind and interested attitude from the hosts who did all what's possible to make our stay enjoyable. A lovely couple at a lovely place. It can hardly be better than this...We will be back soon.....very soon.
Oh...and Willy gave us a course in winemaking.....great!

Marie-Christine and Willy are exceptional! Not only did they provide us with a beautiful guest house with all amenities, but they also gave us great advice on places to visit in the area, maps, directions, and pointers on the best locations for our short stay (Saint Emilion and castles). We only booked the guest house for 3 nights, which is not nearly enough....we suggest staying longer (at least a week)! Willy is quite the baker (fresh bread in the morning), and Marie-Christine is a master at making jam (goes well with the fresh bread)!!!!! Willy gave us an awesome tour of the vineyard and we only can hope to return to help out during harvest season and share more laughs with his amazing couple. BOOK THIS! You will have an amazing experience!!!!
We had a wonderful time staying here, the countryside surrounding the property is beautiful, the house and garden lovely. Our hosts made us very welcome and ensured our stay was enjoyable and successful in every way. With Willy's meticulous care to detail, we were able to visit all the local attractions and places with ease. (He knows all the best routes and places to park!).
We loved our holiday here and felt totally relaxed.
We spent three nights with Marie-Christine and Willy. Their property is idyllic and there is so much to see and do in the area. We were on the go for the few days we were there, thanks to Willy’s expert counsel. We could easily have stayed a few more days to relax and do some more local exploring. Marie-Christine and Willy are very thoughtful hosts, making for an easy and enjoyable stay. After touring some of the larger chateaux in the Bordeaux region it was very interesting to learn about Chateau La Corne – not to mention enjoy the fruits of the labour! Many thanks, Marie-Christine and Willy!
Ok. If you have ever contemplated a stay in a French vineyard in the Bordeaux region then this is it. Read all the positive reviews then get online and book. My wife and 6yo daughter have just had nearly a week with hosts Willy and Marie Christine. They are genuinely lovely people who went out of their way to make our stay memorable. As all the reviews say, their apartment is great and the area they are in is amazing. We will always remember our short stay. This is the great thing about AIRBNB. You get to come across some of the nicest people on our planet.
We had a wonderfull week with Marie-Christine and Willie. They were both very kind and willing to comfort our stay in many ways. The fresh baked bread every morning form Willie was delicious :-)
We highly recommand their appartment.
Willy and Christine are very kind and helpful hosts. Their accommodation, though attached to the main house, is entirely self-contained with everything you could need for your stay, no matter how long. There's plenty of space to spread out, a nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy the weather, and endless vines to walk or ride through. Being on a peak, the view is excellent. Willy kindly spent time with us to explain directions to local sites, recommend restaurants and also to explain their winemaking process which was really interesting - we were even given a bottle of their fine product: delicious! A very pleasant stay.
Willy was a great host.
Welcomed us with open arms. Spent time and prepared us local maps and things to do while we were there.
Fresh baked bread for breakfast.
Loved the tips re the underground cellars (caves) at St Emilion, as well as the catacombs and underground church.
Best of all was being in the vineyard itself - even got the story and show through his winery. Thanks for the bottle of wine - loved it.
