Welcome to our exclusive and completely private 5 acre family getaway on Claytor Lake, located on its own private peninsula with 1/3 mile of private waterfront. The best location and views on the lake! A tree-lined drive leads to a big flat yard filled with majestic oaks, maples, and hickories. Views, quiet, wildlife. 4 BR with private above garage guest suite. Surrounded by water. Huge dock for swimming, fishing, dockage. 5 night min summer (some exceptions) 3 night min VT graduation.

The space
This is a lovely family friendly home and great for relaxing.

We have maximized this space so multiple families can stay together if desired. Most bedrooms have 2 or 3 large walk in closets with twin mattresses on the floor which we use for cozy extra sleeping quarters, great for kids or teens.

The guest suite above the garage is a completely separate private room with full bath and accommodates 4-6 comfortably.

The main house:
>>Bedroom 1 (main house master, downstairs) has a king and en suite full bath with jetted tub and shower.
>>Bedroom 2 (main house upstairs) has a queen and 3 twin mattresses inside large closets. Shared hall bath.
>>Bedroom 3 (main house upstairs) has a queen and 3 comfortable twin mattresses inside large closets. Shared hall bath.

Above Garage Private Detached Guest Suite:
>>Bedroom 4 (above the garage with private entrance)The private guest suite is one large bedroom with 1 king and 2 twin beds. 2 additional comfortable twin mattresses are on the floor inside 2 closets or alcoves depending on what you prefer. Private full bath.

Other things to note
Wifi is provided. There is no TV or DVD player. Cell phone service is good but not excellent at this location.

PLEASE be respectful of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. Any complaints of noise will be dealt with immediately.

Note Linen policy:
-We provide pillows, sheets, blankets and bedspreads for 2 kings, 2 queens and 2 twins.
-If you plan to use the additional twin mattresses (these are the mattresses on the floor) you will need to bring a sleeping bag or sheets/blankets. We do have extra blankets and pillows. Please do not use these beds without bedding.
-We provide kitchen linens and 12 bath towels and wash cloths. A packing list will be provided upon booking for your convenience!

Boats (kayaks, motor boats, pontoon boats, stand up paddle boards, etc) can be rented and delivered to the dock, call Mountain 2 Island or Claytor Lake Water Sports.

The last one mile of the drive is on a gravel road that is quite bumpy.

This property is definitely in the country! Close to I-81, the 12-15 minute drive through beautiful southwestern Virginia countryside is part of the adventure. Nearby is the Claytor Lake State park (which offers many activities, such as sailing, boating, a huge sandy beach, hiking trails, etc.) as well as the Bluegrass Barn, home to many regional and internationally known visiting musicians. 20 minutes to Draper Mercantile and New River Biking Trail, 20 minutes to Radford, 25 minutes to Christiansburg, 40 minutes to Blacksburg and Floyd, 60 minutes to Roanoke. 2 hrs 45 minutes to Charlotte, 1 hour to Winston Salem.
