The house is really lightful cause of the two balconies and big windows in every rooms, and there are not other palaces in front of the house that hide the sunlight.
During the summer the house is also very fresh :)
The room is spacious (14 mq),and has been painted by myself in my dark emo period with bloody red, black and grey walls.
Is well furnished, with a big double bed in black leather, two armachairs, library, desk,a tv(if your request)..
There's a big balcony access from the beedroom, shared with another room,
and from it you got and characteristic view on a back garden, with typical houses of this old quarter of Milan.(check it out the pictures)
In the house there is everything you will probably need (electric iron, dishes, hairdryer, dehumidifier, washing machine, etc.).
You gonna have obviously clean sheets and towels
Interaction with Guests
My interaction with guest depends on the fact if i'm in Milan in that moment or not:when i'm there,i will do my best to make you feel part of the house and help you if you need suggestions or tips about the city, when i'm not there,my lovely collaborators gonna receive you,and you can in any case counting on me writing me here or calling me!
The flat is located in a quiet and safe area, composed basically by italian families and young artists(cause there are many loft photo/video studio all around). The feeling is a bit of a little italian town, not of a big metropolitan city.
If you will rent a bike, just 10 minutes cycling(or 20 walking),you can get to a beautiful open country,in the Barona area, for a sunny and green excursion.
You obviously have many services all around the area(three supermarkets, farmacy, many classic breakfast italian bars, restaurants and tabacchi).
About monuments, you can amire the church of San Cristofaro(from XII century),on the naviglio of Lodovico il Moro(check the pictures),10 minutes walking.
Check it out the guide linked to the listing for the place i can suggest you to go:
1.Gelateria Della Musica-Via Pestalozzi.Simply the best ice cream of the whole city, check it out the reviews on Trip Adv..)
2.Cafè Sawa-Via Pestalozzi. The best italian lunch food for a cheap price, with the traditional family run
3.Bar/Pub Ittolittos-Via Olgiati.Best cocktail and good food,in a warm rock/jazz atmosphere, live concert in the weekend with the best old jazz band of the town!
About pubblic transport, right behind the house,150 m walking, there's the stop of Bus number 74-direction Porta Genova MM2 metro green line, the heart of Navigli canals, reachable in 15 minutes,8 bus stops-
or Romolo MM2 green line, that you can reach in 5/7 minutes,3 bus stops+300 m walking(to the stop Viale Cassala,on the corner between Via Carlo torra/viale cassala)
You also have the choice,in case you need to get straight to the center,to reach the characteristic old city fashion tram number 2 just 10 minutes by walking, that connect you directly with Piazza del Duomo, the main center,in about 15 minutes.
In the night the house is just connected in the best way:after 1 o'clock metro is substitued by a bus:Bus M2 green line does the same way of metro but stops just right behind the house,at the same stop of 74 VIA BINDA/VIA BIELLA
Other Things to Note
What can i say more?if you think you need a 5 stars hotel with luxury stuff this is not the place for you.
I tried to make my simple house comfortable and furnish it with colours and good vibes.I ll try to make you feel at home,in a warm and clean house. The spirit is definetely young, but also for old people with a young soul.
You will probably meet others travellers or locals as me.
Nothing so stricht, just common sense rules.
As don't smoke in the house, just using balconies,
take care of the recycling rubbish paying attention where you throw it out what(it's divided in a simple way in the kitchen),
don't slam the doors of the house to respect the others guests,
and don't be noise especially after 22,for the others guests and for the neighbours.
Obviously no party in the house(but for sure you can drink with the others guests)
It's not allowed that someone else sleeps over during your stay, but you can always ask me for particular request,
About the Host, David
I'm 26 years old italian student of psychology, living my life in Milan and Berlin.
Airbnb is a great opportunity for a democratic way of travelling, where every traveller can be also a host, and every host can be also a guest.
And that is what has happened to me.
Renting out rooms here it has been what made me survived and continue my studies.
I've hosted probably more than 1000 people in almost 3 years, and that was one of the most amazing experience of my life.
So many good memories with my guests!i had the unic opportunity to learn different mentalities, stories, cultures, and all of this just sharing my house :)
Somehow was like travelling all around the world
My biggest passion are music(from rock to techno),cinema, and obviously, travelling.
Berlin is the greatest city in Europe,
i think it's important for the world and your healthyness to become vegetarian,to open your eyes about the global supreme dictatorship of capitalism that we are living in and improve the potential of human altruism
At the end of all,i was born and i'm still breathing, and that's already a good point
