This is a beautiful Georgian house in the Cork City, within walking distance of the city centre and very near UCC. Mary and Dan are perfect hosts and very helpful and hospitable providing good restaurant recommendations . Had a very enjoyable time and safe and secure parking also available on site.
Lovely home and we were made very welcome and given great tips for where to go and what to do. With a location as ideal as this one you'll have no trouble!
We didn't get a chance to meet Anna but Mary and Dan made us feel very welcomed. The house was great. It's only a couple minute walk from all the restaurants and shops. Mary gave us some great recommendations on where to eat and what to do.
Anna and her father provided a very comfortable bed, in a warm house at a great location. I was only at the house for a short time but felt very welcomed. I would stay here again the next time I'm in Cork.
A very good airbnb experience. The hosts, Mary and Dan, really went out of their way to look after us. They stayed up and waited for us when our flight was delayed, had good restaurant recommendations, and were generally very friendly!
The room and house are charming and in a good location - it's a short walk into the centre of Cork.
Anna's mother (Mary) was a wonderful host! She gave us loads of recommendations for places to eat and visit in cork! It's also located in a perfect place, right next to the university and just a short walk into the city centre. The breakfast was also lovely!
Staying in Mary and Dan's family home was lovely, and I really felt they made me a welcome part of their family the two nights I got to stay with them. They made me feel at home and everything was as described. I was shown around the kitchen and fresh bread was available so I could make toast and tea for breakfast, and porridge was possible but I didn't need it. The two boys and their friends studying for exams were polite and friendly, and the housekeeper who let me in also gave me great advice on exploring the town the next day, which was a great help as I was just waiting for my partner to finish a conference and didn't know much about Cork before arriving. The backyard next to the river was lovely for sitting and reading in the sun in the afternoon, and the family friend caught a fresh trout from right there that they let me sample for dinner, so it was an unexpectedly extra local Irish experience!
