On the first floor of a 200 years old provençal house, this is a 80 square meter apartment for two persons (4 max). It has a double bedroom, a large living room with two extra beds, one bathroom, WC, TV, a fully equiped kitchen and a large terrace. A swimming pool is there also for you to enjoy. This is a quiet place by the Rhone river to have a relaxing time in a typical Provence atmosphere.
At 20 mns walk away, the center of the village will offer you all the commodities you need : Bakery, supermarket, brasseries, cafés, press shop... Every saturday, a famous market takes place here, where you can buy all fresh fruits, vegetables, typical provencal products like charcuterie, cheese, delicatessens you dream of.
The place is really perfectly located in the region : the Gorges de l'Ardeche, cultural sites and cities like Vaison la Romaine, Avignon, the Pont du Gard, wonderful footpaths and hiking trails, climbing sites, all are located at a short drive around.
The region also offers many wine caves to visit, and you will be delighted by our local productions like the Côtes du Rhône, Cairanne, Gigondas or the famous Châteauneuf du Pape between many others.
The Bollène train station is at 10 mns drive, Avignon at 25 kms. If necessary, we can pick you up.

The Pons family made us very welcome. The location was stunning with a tree-lined driveway opening onto the old farm with blue shutters. Our apartment was comfortable and well furnished. The double bedroom looked out over the 200 year old trees and the Rhone. The 2 day beds in the sitting room were fine for our children. The kitchen was small but had everything you could need. Outside there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas to sit under and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The swimming pool in the orchard was perfect... very clean and bigger than expected. The whole place is surrounded by fields growing pears, apples and peaches.
The Pons family come and go and it gives the whole place a 'lived in' secure feel and with guests in the other apartments you are in a private place but do not feel 'cut off'.
Internet connection is available in the barn... a bit hit and miss but we managed fine.
Point Saint Esprit is only about a 20 minute walk along the river and is an unspoilt small town with everything you could need - supermarkets, cafes boulangeries etc..
To explore the local hilltop villages you would need a car which you can hire in Bagnols sur Ceze.
Overall we had a wonderful time relaxing in the sunshine in beautiful surroundings and can highly recommend our hosts Dominic and Madeleine.
This is a fantastic apartment - beautifully rustic, and perfectly decorated in keeping with a traditional French farmhouse. We had a private terrace and facilities, although it was also nice to see other guests around the communal areas.
Madeleine and Dominic were very accommodating and on hand to answer all of our questions. We particularly enjoyed the pool and playing pétanque (although we were eventually driven inside by the mosquitos!).
The countryside around Pont-Saint-Esprit is beautiful, and we'd definitely recommend a trip to the nearby Gorges d'Ardeche (the French Grand Canyon). Would happily stay here again
Spent 9 days at this quiet location with my family in July during the hot 2013 summer (36 C). The pool was quite refreshing, for our 8-year old daughter and us as well ;-) The apartment was clean and had all the comfort we needed (we never actually touched the TV). On small note: the wireless internet did not reach through the thick stone walls, but you could go to the library to be closer to the hotspot (if you require internet in your room, you may want to double-check upfront).
Pont Saint-Esprit center is nearby and has a supermarket and a rather big open air market. Lots of "cigales" ("tree crickets"?) providing a lovely "background sound" as is common in the Provence area and surroundings. Visited Orange, Nimes (very hot compared to country-side) and some nice small villages in the neighborhood (Aigèze for example), caves, waterfalls, and also did some canoeing on the Cèze.
Overall a nice location we might visit again in the future at some point!
After staying at Madelaine's gorgeous petite hotel, we have fallen in love with the Pons family - they are a great bunch. We really wish we had the opportunity to stay longer, because in addition to the wonderful hospitality, the property too is perfect in every way. The kids gave the pool a real workout, and really enjoyed playing with some of the Pons grandchildren, who also live in. In addiiton the the pool, there's indoor badminton, fooz ball (not sure of spelling!!) and other bits and pieces, which was a pleasant surprise and kept the kids entertained whilst my husband and I enjoyed wine and food in the bucolic courtyard. Our apartment was so much more than we could expect for the price. Upon arrival and first sight of our rooms, shown to us by the equally lovely Dominic, we felt like we had found the perfect slice of Provence. At the end of our stay we really didn't want to leave. From there, we were also easily able to visit Avignon, but after that, we decided to stay in, swim, relax and enjoy both the countryside and Madelaine's outstanding cooking (served by more lovely Pons folk - Jonathon and his wife Sara). We would definitely return at the slightest opportunity. xx
