  • The photos are accurate but a few notes from my experience to help you make your decision:
    PROS
-You park at the nursery at the bottom of the street. One of the most gorgeous nurseries I have ever seen.
-Indeed you are just across PCH from Santa Monica beach (although this particular part of the beach has an unfortunate drain pipe, so avoid that)
-Spacious for a studio with comfortable amenities. Wifi worked great.
    CONS
-The 1st floor unit is located on a busy street at a pretty hectic intersection. The unit doesn't dampen this noise too well. The only window you could open was above the front door, which really let the noise in. A friendly/innocuous but homeless man was hanging out within 15 feet of the front door. I wouldn't say it's a cozy/safe location, and the heavy metal barring of all the windows/doors wasn't comforting.
-The unit felt damp and I would have liked better air circulation/dehumidification.
-Bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress sagged towards the middle pretty badly and the entire bed was squeaky.
-Could have been cleaner--floors were not barefoot friendly.
    OVERALL
The price was obviously the biggest advantage given the rates of nearby hotels. But I still felt the price was too much for this place. If price + beach access are your main concerns, this is a great find.

  • We stayed over new years 4 nights at Jones place. We really enjoyed to be there. It's closed to the beach... :)

Everything was clean and we felt welcomed. I would suggest to my friends to go there again.

  • Nice place. Perfect location. Did not get the chance to meet jones but he left perfect instructions and was very reactive and helpful. No problem for parking. Beach across the street. We will come back!

    December 2013
  • The place was not what I expected. The bed was really uncomfortable. It was not convenient at all and it was v noisy. I really think it is over priced. Couldn't even watch TV or open a window. Would NOT recommend.
