The space

Our Carnelian Bay attached studio unit is located RIGHT on Hwy 28/North Lake Blvd, across the street from Lake Tahoe. It's the road that wraps around the lake. This unit sits on and faces the main road. It is clean, cozy and perfect for two people with a private entrance and parking for one car right outside your unit. The property is flat, with very easy access and also the bus/shuttle stops right outside on the corner for your convenience. Although our house is across the street from the lake, there is no lake view from the property. You can access the lake by walking along the bikelane on the main road to our local beach, "PattonBeach" or walk up our street and take the first left.
The studio has a small kitchenette with utensils and dishware, a full size fridge/freezer, microwave, large coffee maker, 2 burner hot plate and sink, perfect for small meals. There is a queen bed, private bath, boot dryer for the winter, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, internet access, flat screen TV, DVD/CD player and a sitting area in front of the warm freestanding porcelain gas fireplace. There is also a self inflating twin mattress available.
We are less than a mile away from Gar Woods restaurant, which has a public pier and boat access. The Carnelian Bay center has CB's Pizza, 7-11, a post office and laundromat. Patton Beach, our local beach, is across the street and Watermans Landing, has kayaks and paddle boards to rent, plus food and drinks. Miniature golf is across the street from the beach and don't forget about the best breakfast joint around the corner, "The Old Post Office". We are close to many North Shore ski resorts with Northstar and Alpine only 12.5 miles away, Squaw Valley 14 miles and Mt. Rose 18 miles. Kings Beach is only 3 miles away and Tahoe City about 8. Crystal Bay hosts gaming and music venues and is only 4.6 miles away. Lake Tahoe has so much sightseeing and activities and we are happy to give you advice on things to see and places to go. We have also provided a welcome binder loaded with information for you when you arrive. We do live here full-time and work and play and we will give you your privacy as well. So, what are you waiting for? Stay, play and enjoy. Drive and fly safe.

Other things to note

A 10% Placer county transient occupancy tax, that we are required to have, is included in the total price.

We found this to be a very comfortable stay. There is a well stocked kitchenette that includes coffee, various hot drinks and oatmeal. There are even beach towels and chairs for your use. I'll be telling friends about this place!

Very nice place with awesome hosts! It was very clean and we'll stocked with lots of little extras. We felt (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication was very good on check in. There is a bus stop out front if needed or its just a quick drive to everything you need. Would stay here again anytime! :)

This was my first experience with Airbnb, and I can only hope that future stays are as pleasant as this one. Suzi and Scott made the whole process so simple. My husband and I were made to feel like we had a home at Lake Tahoe, even if it was just for a few days. Lake Tahoe is such a peaceful place, and that feeling was enhanced with our stay.

Small but perfectly formed - if you're needing a base just to sleep and grab breakfast, this place is perfect. Great bathroom, all you need to make breakfast and a picnic, but I wouldn't try cooking supper. Great base to explore local hikes and restaurants, but you will need a car. And perhaps pack earplugs and eye patches if you're sensitive to light and noise. But it really is charming place that is warm and cosy.

We are a married couple that live full time in North Lake Tahoe and own and operate a carpet cleaning business. We have lived in Tahoe for over 22 years and love the outdoors and mountain living. Skiing is at the top of our list and is one of the reasons we chose to stay and live in beautiful North Lake. We know a lot about the area and would be happy to give people tidbits on where to go and what to do.
