Welcome to Eudora! Our twenty acres of secluded woodland, in Southern Oregon's beautiful Klamath Siskiyou ecoregion. Our property is run on solar power - come experience the rustic, off-grid Oregon lifestyle. Our dream is to make this property into a small permaculture homestead, and create more beautiful spaces so we can have more folks visit the property. We invite you to enjoy our woods and relax in the wild.

The space
Our rental is a bit of a unique situation, please read everything before booking:
The cabin is studio style i.e. one open room. There is an enclosed outdoor shower on the back porch, with hot water. The toilet is an outhouse, which is a short walk from the cabin - so be ready for a genuine rustic experience! Our chicken yard is just downhill from the cabin (only hens, we don't have a rooster) - enjoy as many farm fresh eggs as you like during your stay. We have three large, super friendly dogs on site, that will greet you when you arrive, and join you if you hike around the property. There is a 1.8 mile gravel road to our property that has potholes - please take this into consideration. Our property is completely run off of solar power - from pumping well water that is then gravity fed to the faucets, to washing your sheets and towels!
*Note spring 2020 - for the safety of our guests, we are taking special care to disinfect surfaces between guests.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to walk around all the paths and explore the property and woods surrounding the cabin.

Other things to note
Our property is a little ways off the beaten path - we are located a 10-15 minute drive down Wood Creek Rd off of Waldo Rd. We have 3 large (super friendly) dogs that will probably greet you upon arrival and will join you if you walk around the property. They are great companions as we are surrounded by nature and have a variety of animals in the vacinity including black bears, bobcats, cougars, foxes, rattlesnakes, other species of snakes, wild turkeys, and many species of smaller critters. As we are run off of solar power, appliances that require a lot of electricity to produce heat - e.g. toasters, electric heaters, hair dryers/straighteners - may drain our batteries and we ask that you do not use them during your stay. We have a propane heater, stove, refrigerator in the cabin that are all suited to off-grid use.

The Illinois Valley is a very special place - there are many incredible hikes and river spots all around us- we will be happy to recommend some of our favorites during your stay. There are three grocery stores in Cave Junction, Shop Smart (Ray’s), Grocery Outlet and Diggin’ Livin Natural Foods & Cafe - all of which are open 7 days a week.

Hello! I am a Canadian/American who grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and has been living full time in the Illinois Valley, Oregon since 2014, after years of travelling internationally and around the west coast, tree planting, picking fruit, working in cafes, and a wide variety of other jobs! My goal is to develop our off-grid property into a permaculture homestead and eco travel destination. I have also been working at/managing Diggin' Livin' Natural Foods store in Cave Junction since 2015.
