Nestled in a quiet piazza 'Il Mirtilllo' is one of ten houses that make up this ancient square, the oldest part of Chianni village. The Church of San Donato, dominates the piazza and has origins dating back to the 13th century. The house dating back to around 17th century, has maintained it's character of wooden beams, tiled floors and ceilings. The decor is true to it's Tuscan origins of painted plaster walls in traditional colours. Modern appliances compliment this delightful old house .

Neighborhood highlights

Chianni is a medieval town with Etruscan origins. The village has two café/bars, a mini-markets, a flower shop, Tabacchi and a small hardware store. The post office is open until 13.45 pm Monday – Saturday. A gift shop and a pasta shop selling delicious handmade pasta, made on the premises can also be found (my favourite shop!). A cash point can be found next to the tourist information office in the main square of the village. The village has three good restaurants, with many others a short drive away.
