Keyvan is a great host. He is very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to all of my questions. His apartment is wonderful. It is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has all of the amenities you need to cook at home for meals if you want to. The view is terrific: large picture windows looking out to the Golden Gate. Wow! Laurel Heights is a great neighborhood. Easy walking distances to several grocery stores and restaurants, close by to the Presidio for long walks in nature. Keyvan left detailed instructions about everything: how to run the entertainment system, recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. It is the perfect San Francisco apartment. I was sorry I had to leave!
My husband and I stayed for several days in Keyvan's comfortable and pleasant apartment, enjoying its convenient proximity to good restaurants and shops, and its magnificent views of the Golden Gate Bridge. From his apartment we also walked to the Golden Gate Park Conservatory of Flowers, a little over a mile away. Keyvan made some last minute arrangements for us before leaving on his vacation that facilitated our reservation. We are very grateful for his flexibility and hospitality. His apartment is in a great neighborhood!
Clean spacious apt with great views of the Golden Gate Bridge! Keyvan was very accommodating and polite.
Keyvan's place is very roomy, comfortable and has a fabulous view--from the ocean to the west to the Berkeley hills on the east and north to the GG Bridge and Marin county--when the fog isn't in! July in SF almost always guarantees cool, foggy weather.//He was very pleasant and when there were glitches, he was quickly available by phone.// He was there to meet me and explain the oddities of an older apartment.//Very good host.
San Francisco stay was great. Although we surprised the host Keyvan because of earlier arrival, the apartment was ready and prepared and after some explanations about most important Facts in his rooms (kitchen, bath-room) we could live in a spacy one-bedroom and large living-room. While we stayed Keyvan was in reach by mail and answered further questions without hesiitation.
We had a wonderful stay at Keyvan's lovely apartment. Keyvan was communicative and answered all our questions in time. The apartment itself is gorgeous with beautiful views of the Golden gate bridge (which is a 10 mins drive away), easy access to downtown San francisco and located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. There is a Trader Joes right around the corner and coffee shops, Walgreens just a block away.
We had a wonderful time staying here and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cool comfortable stay in SF!
Keyvan was exceptionally friendly and made sure all of my needs were met. He gave me excellent directions and information about the apartment and the surrounding area. I highly recommend him as a host!
Keyvan was a great host. All instructions and everything we needed to know was emailed prior to our stay. We enjoyed many aspects of his home which included the great size, internet, parking, tv (with channels), awesome king bed and mattress and view. We also enjoyed exploring a neighbourhood that was new to us.
Thanks Keyvan :)

We stayed at our host's place from August 3 - 11, 2012 and it was lovely. The apartment is spacious and clean and has a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We would definitely recommend staying here. Public transportation is just down the street and since it's a main road the busses come pretty frequently. The host kept good communication even though he was out of town and left very helpful tips for our stay as well.
If you're like us and are happy with staying in for the evenings, this place is perfect for it; comfortable, liveable and peaceful. The garden outside is sweet and the building and neighbourhood are quiet and safe. There was some construction noise a couple mornings, and some traffic noise, but nothing too bad.
If you have never been to SF remember to dress in layers. We were lucky enough to get sunny and warm weather for most of the trip, but mornings were always cool and the fog is unpredictable.
To get Muni passes or sim cards, Clement St is about 15 minutes away by foot and you can get yummy Asian food there while you search (Cafe Bunn Mi has amazing crispy duck and braised pork belly sandwhiches, and Burma Star is *delicious* for dinner). There are grocery stores within walking distance but we didn't make as much use of them as we had intended since there were so many restaurants to try.
Fridays down at Fort Mason the food trucks gather to offer great ethnic/fusion options after 5pm. If you like crab, you should check out Thanh Long on 4101 Judah Street -- it's expensive, but very good. Be sure to try the garlic noodles, shaken beef and the baked garlic crab. Burma Star is super yummy and worth the wait -- the wait staff is also very helpful if you've never had Burmese food before. Tartine in the Mission is a busy little bakery. They don't have a sign, but you can tell by the line up that something good is waiting. I would try the morning bun, quiche and any of their desserts. If you're driving south along Hwy 1, a stop in Half Moon Bay to eat at Pasta Moon is a worthy pit stop -- handmade pasta and fresh ingredients from their garden.
All in all it was a great stay! Our only complaints were that the neighbour across the hall was a bit unpleasant (but we only had one run in), and we had to check out quite early on our last day as there was another guest coming to stay -- but we couldn't really blame them, the place is lovely!
