Escape to our cabin which earned top-rated Airbnb in all of Kansas for a cozy, quiet getaway. Ideal for unwinding and rejuvenating after the demands of a hectic day.

Enjoy scenic hiking trails, axe throwing, horseshoes, or a peaceful walk through our labyrinth. End the day with a stunning sunset over the valley from our swing. Just 5 minutes from the lake!

Note: The cabin is on a shared property with a retreat center, Sacred Hearts Healing.

The space
Our 15-acre property is a serene, mostly wooded retreat, complete with winding hiking trails, a tranquil labyrinth, and two picturesque ponds surrounded by meditation areas and hammocks for ultimate relaxation. Guests can enjoy fishing poles, an axe-throwing area, a crackling fire pit, and a horseshoe pit, all ready for your leisure.

Please note that from October 1 to December 31, some trails may be temporarily closed for a few hours at a time while my husband hunts.

The property teems with wildlife, and you’ll often spot hummingbirds flitting about, ready to brighten your day. Unwind with a good book in one of the hammocks and let nature do the rest.

We have two dogs who are usually hanging outside on the land and will come by to greet you. If you’re not comfortable around dogs, let us know, and we’ll ensure they stay indoors or out of your way during your stay. Additionally, our neighbor’s dog, Ranger, loves meeting people and might pay you a friendly visit too.

You can access anything on our property. We even have a pond which is catch and release. Please look at trail map so you know where our neighbor's property line is and please stay on our property.

This cabin is more suitable for two adults and two children, I wouldn't recommend 4 adults as it would be too tight.

There is no longer a washing machine at the cabin.

We live in the middle of Lawrence, KS (KU) and Kansas City, KS (The Speedway). Only 20 minutes to the famous Kansas City Renaissance Festival and Providence Amphitheater. We are 25 minutes from each in a remote, private location off the main highway. You can get to downtown Kansas City, MO to go to the City Market, The Plaza or Chief's Stadium all in 40 minutes!
