In the heart of Red River Gorge this hand hewn log cabin provides a quintessential Kentucky woodland experience. Secluded in the trees, with no other buildings in sight this cabin is surrounded by natural beauty.
This is a hikers and climbers paradise with easy access to miles of trails and multiple climbing spots. A half mile from Martins Fork Trail Head and minutes from Daniel Boone National Forest - Gladie Visitor Center, Indian Creek camping area and Natural Bridge State Park.
The space
The gravel driveway to Snowy Owl is steep and narrow in places with 2 tight switchbacks at the beginning. Suitable for 4 wheel drive and AWD vehicles. Many drivers have trouble making the ascent in a 2 wheel drive car but it can be done! If your car just won't make it you are welcome to park at the entrance and walk to the cabin (approx. 600 ft. up and into the forest).
Pets are welcome. We charge a one time fee of $35 for each pet that you bring with you.
