I present a cozy and quiet apartment in mansion of the eighteenth century, in the heart of the wonderful and exciting city of Seville, with very characteristic points of the city such as Plaza de Salvador and 3 minutes from the Giralda and Cathedral, probably the two most emblematic sights of the city. In the heart of the historic district, an epicenter of art to national and European level. The area is monumental, with restaurants and tapas bars, shops and fun.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor with elevator, has independent kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and hob. Living room with sofa bed and double bed. Very bright with three windows to the terrace. Air conditioning cold and heat. Bathroom with hot water.
It is rented with bed and bath linen and (website hidden) and free WiFi.
The apartment is in a pedestrian street in the center but with access to taxi rank and Tram 200 meters.
We had a great time staying in Rafael's place. The location is absolutely fantastic and the flat is very good for the price. Also it is in a beautiful old building with lovely internal courtyards and terraces.
Un lugar maravilloso, en el centro de la ciudad, perfecto para visitar!
Rafael esta muy atento!!
We had a lovely stay at the apartment. Rafeal is a great host and showed us excellent places to eat. Because of our bad Spanish, he called our taxi for the way back to the airport, which arrived excactly on time. The apartment is suiteble for wheelchairs, although there are two small steps on the ground floor. On the lovely balcony you can have breakfest in the early morning sun. Although its situated in the centre of the town, it's nice and quite at night.
Rafael was a great host, meeting us at the door and sharing his story with us about the house we are in being his family's old family home converted to apartments. The apartment could' have been better (email hidden)ar the Salvador Square and mid-way between the Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral. Rafael suggested tapas bars and a flamenco show which attended both with high praise. The kitchen is adequate, I don't think you could cook a big meal here but we just used it for breakfast and it worked fine. We visited in early February when the night got cool and Rafael had two portable heaters that worked great when needed. A big bonus for us was the washing machine and the plentiful rooftop clothes lines for drying. Any visitor to the great city needs to start with a hop on hop off city tour to get the information. The red buses that we used worked for 48 Hours and even included 4 walking tours. Don't miss the audio tour of the nearby Salvador church which was extremely interesting. WHEN we return to Seville we will stay with Rafael again.
Rafael was very helpful and friendly sharing places to eat and visit. The location of the apartment was excellent; it's close to all the major attractions, walkable distance to the major bus stop and the main train station. The apartment is quiet, far away from vehicle traffic and businesses.
Really nice flat, in a somptuous building ! Good situation, with lots of interesting places around, local tapas bars, 10mn by walk to the cathedral ... Rafael is very helping, I recommand the Estrella bar some streets away for breakfast ! A very nice stay, highly recommanded.
Rafael's house is not really a 'Palace' its more like a boarding house. The apartment looked good in the photos but it was a bit tired overall. The kitchen and the bathroom drains had this sewerage smell that permeated the apartment on arrival. It was hard to ignore and couldn't eliminate. As it was winter, we had to ask for another heater which Rafaels staff provided as the oil heater wasn't adequate for the area. The wi- fi was down- (dead slow) for the three days we were there- Rafael said he had reported it, but never ventured to the apartment to investigate personally. We never really meet Rafael, only his daughter on arrival who seemed totally disinterested and lackluster in guests arriving. A signed standard document on the table by Rafael did provide an A4 of recommendations in the area which we used and were good, so thanks for that. Overall on another day this 'palace' may be ok but it does need some genuine concern for the standards of his enterprise in hospitality.
I try to personally attend to my guests and it happens in most of the time , as can be read in more than 100 positive comments I have.
Only in the case that I am not in the city , as happened the day of your arrival , I turn to my daughter to attend the arrival . ( I sent an email explaining it )
I have no a boarding house, as you say in your maliciously comment . I have an apartment I try to manage the best possible way , transparently and with kindness and spirit of service .
I made a claim on problems of online Internet Connection . The Company answered me that there were deficiencies in the connection throughout the downtown area as a result of a fault in the phone antenna. (No Connection for fiber optics in the center of town) . the day you left was fixed and it was not necessary to go into the house, obviously) (also sent you an email )
The second heating was started by my wife urgently 15 minutes after ordering it as essential. My wife was surprised that no one was in the apartment but they were all the lights and extreme heat of sauna. However , she left the heater in the house. So I'm surprised you say that someone from my staff took it .... if no one was in the apartment , how you know who took the heater ?
Evaluations should be based on real situations, not on assumptions,
I am sorry that your stay in my house was not to your liking, but you could have told better.
We absolutely loved this place. It really does feel like an ancient palace from the moment you open the large wooden double doors on the exterior. When you walk inside, you feel like you're in a beautiful private resort. Rafael was a wonderful host and gave us excellent suggestions on where to eat and what to do while visiting Seville. One of his suggestions was to visit the Arab baths (Aire de Seville), which was so beautiful and relaxing. We also ate some amazing tapas at Toro Rojo - we highly suggest the fried cheese balls! Seville is a lovely city (don't miss the Alcazar!) and the apartment itself was perfect. Rafael's family has owned the building since the 1700s and we definitely would have stayed longer if our schedule could have allowed for it.
Rafael has been a very welcoming host, the place is very well situated 2 min walk from the Cathedral, nice and clean. There was a piping problem when we were there, but we still enjoyed our stay.
