Getaways in Colorado are what we do. Our Lotus Belle glamping yurts are a decadent retreat for people who want to enjoy nature in comfort. Imagine going for a hike, then spending the rest of the day reading a book and enjoying a drink by the South Platte River. Imagine spending the evening lounging while gazing at the moon setting over the Rockies.

The space
Set next to the South Platte River in the woods on the beautiful Platte River Fort river bottom. Spend your time exploring the 235 acre property and there are wonderful opportunities for hiking, exploring with your dog, and viewing wildflowers and wildlife, fishing and plenty of river activities.

Our beautiful Lotus Belle yurts feel light and and spacious inside. They are 20 feet in diameter. You can move freely and stretch out in the space without crouching. The Lotus Belle is not only beautiful and spacious, but functional as well. It is constructed of waterproof canvas and has a waterproof floor. When the windows and doors are shut, our yurts shelter guests from rain, wind and hail. Mosquito net, clear vinyl, and canvas window coverings allow guests to moderate the temperature of the space. Lay in bed and watch the wind move in the trees through the window, or close the canvas shutters to make the space cozy and private.

Our standard setup includes:
- Carpeted tent floor.
- Sleeping for four guests. Linens and a blanket/comforter.
- A fire ring - Please bring your own firewood. Platte River Fort has firewood for sale.
- Three Beauty Rest mattress with bedding.
- Unique decor, four person table, magazines, lanterns and lighter.
- Four indoor reading chairs, outdoor seating by the river.

Other things to note:

We do require a $40 dollar pet fee. We know people love to bring their furry friends with them on trips, but sometimes when left unattended they can create quite the mess. Please note we will charge you prior to your stay via Airbnb DM.

Colorado is famous for the number of sunny days that we get. A typical summer day in the Rockies is sunny skies in the morning and some sun and clouds in the afternoon with about a 50% chance of intermittent showers or thunderstorms, followed by clear evenings. We can't guarantee that you'll get the perfect weather.

Suggested Packing List:

Warm clothing: down jacket, fleece, wool or synthetic socks, spare socks, waterproof boots, long underwear, synthetic shirts, gloves, warm hat, sunglasses, rain gear, camp shoes or sandals, synthetic undergarments.

Camp stove, pot and/or pan, cooking utensils, eating utensils, plates and bowls, food, cooler (keep in car or hang it in a tree to prevent wildlife from getting to it), drinking water, trash bags, firewood and/or a hatchet or axe for making smaller pieces out of larger deadfall, hand sanitizer.

Mosquito repellent and sunscreen recommended.

Firewood

If applicable: For your dog(s) extra water, dog food and water bowls, dog bed and blanket (even in the middle of summer, nights can get cold), leash.
