  • Lovely apartment in a brilliant location, very close to Palacio Real. We also really liked the area around la Latina and had a great night out there. Beds in the apartment were really comfortable, it was cool, there were all the appliances you could want (with easy to follow instructions), the couple who showed us round were helpful and charming and Isolina responded to queries on email very quickly. All in all a great experience and highly recommended.

  • Very cosy apartment in amazing location for exploring Madrid. Mirta and Adalberto are there for you and ready to go extra length for even unusual demands. We had an amazing homy New Year Celebration with our Family there. Thank you for Isolina for organising all of it!

  • The apartment is centrally located, safe and comfortable. It is spacious and relatively quiet. It is well stocked. The washer and dryer is quite handy.

Both the booking and the check-in process was easy.

We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a centrally located apartment in Madrid.

  • We had a great stay in Madrid in this apartment. There are two proper bedrooms which is not easy to find! The bathroom and the kitchen were clean and well-equipped. It is a fairly short walk to the Plaza de San Miguel and Plaza Mayor (albeit uphill ;)), so there are lots of restaurants/bars/cafes/grocery stores close by. There didn't seem to be a nearby metro stop. The Wifi worked well for our entire stay. It is a lovely apartment and we would definitely stay here again!

  • Great location in walking-distance from most sights.
The flat was inviting and clean.
Everything you need is there - from kitchen utensils to hair-dryer. Great collection of DVD movies!
Very helpfull couple (castellan-speaking) greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the flat.
The wireless internet connection, however, was out of order, which was a setback for us, since we tend to start planning our vacation when we arrive at our destination...
BUT all in all a great place to stay!

    Response from Isolina:

Hi Karen, so sorry for the problem with internet. These things always happen in the worst moment.
If you comeback to Madrid one day or if you want refer somebody the apartment, I'll be happy to offer you a free night.
    Thanks for the review.

  • Tha apartment is in a great location, close to the San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace and more! We didn't meet Isolina, but the people in charge of giving us the keys were so lovely and warm - it was fun practising my very broken Spanish with them! All the needed amenities were there, making it an overall great experience. :-)

  • Amazing apartment with a gracious host! In a quiet area of Madrid, but close enough (walking distance) to all of the action. Isolina was so kind and we really enjoyed our stay! Would definitely rent again :)

  • Isolina's apartment was located at a very convenient location. We were neighbours with the monarch and it was about a 10 minutes walk to the bustling restaurants and food market area.

Check in was easy enough - the couple was waiting downstairs at the building of the flat and they were extremely welcoming. Fruits and wine were prepared on arrival.

Apartment was clean, wifi access was consistent.

Only thing is if you were driving, it could be difficult to find a parking spot!

I would stay again at Isolina's apartment.

  • Wonderful apartment - we enjoyed our stay and Isolina was very cooperative and friendly. The apartment is close to historic downtown Madrid, as well as the palace and cathedral and also close to the beautiful river and Casa de Campo - handy to everything. It is very well equipped and comfortable. Elevator service was good, always working and the neighbours were friendly. There is an extraordinary eclectic library (in Spanish and some English) which we enjoyed. Thank you for your hospitality.

  • Me and my family went to Isolina's apartment for 5 nights and 6 days, it was a very pleasant stay. Her apartment is very well equipped, pans, cups, bowls anything you need for your normal daily life. Her apartment is also very convenient, just across a bridge is the city with cafes, restaurants and the Metro station. It is also very close to Sol. Isolina's apartment is nice and breezy, and at night it is very quiet. Our stay was very pleasant, if we go to Madrid again, I will be sure to book her apartment again!

About
Right now I am a freelance interior designer in Silicon Valley. I lived and worked the last 15 years in Madrid but now I have moved to California. That's the reason I decided to share my apartment with people who want to visit Madrid. I love modern design, but could not live without classical art. That's one reason why my apartment mixes several elements. Reading, traveling, exploring new places, meet people and different cultures is something I love doing.
