Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • The house is really nice and the view from the roof terrace, with a full glass of Mount Gay rum in hand, is a dream.
The house is very spacious and clean.
The own toilet is equipped with a bathtub.
The location is also very central. We had a rental car and were thus able to reach all the beaches on the west side within a few minutes easy.
A supermarket (Jordans) is within walking distance.
The deposit is a bit confusing, since one is actually already hedged about Airbnb.
But well, overall a really recommendable location

  • We loved our trip to Barbados! We wanted to just come and relax. Davette was a perfect host, she took care of us like we were family and made sure we were comfortable. She's also a riot - chatting on the porch was fun! The room is clean and comfortable with a nice hard bed and soft sheets. The area is great with a really quiet beach across the road and easy access anywhere. Overall a great stay!

  • Becky's is a delight! Right next to an amazing beach, a bus stop outside the door, a cozy and quiet room with fast WLAN and a large bathroom. Davette is the best; she made us feel at home, gave us great tips and greeted us with an amazing coconut bread... All in all it was a wonderful 4 days in Barbados, and Becky's is a great deal - hotels are terribly overpriced and we wouldn't recommend any of them.

  • Becky's By the Sea is such a convenient location. Across the street from a swimmable beach, 2 blocks from the grocery store, and right on the bus line. Davette is incredibly welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed and will always remember the nice mornings and evenings chatting with her on her porch. Davette sometimes hosts a few people at once, which was a great way for me as a solo traveler to meet new people. There is a lovely community vibe at Davette's house. I highly recommend staying with Davette at Becky's By the Sea.

  • I had a nice room with an en-suite bathroom which I liked. The house is by the main road (bus stop in front of the door) which you just cross to get to the beach (no shade on the beach though). Supermarket nearby too.

  • Davette's place is a perfect spot to explore the north side of Barbados (which we did). When you are there, walk one or two blocks south to a great Italian restaurant for Happy Hour and great food. The house is big. airy and clean. The local bus stops right in front and you are across the street from a beach to watch the sunsets.

  • My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Becky's By the Sea. Davette is a friendly, welcoming host, and we loved that she suggested activities and excursions that we might do (and joined us on several adventures!). She was also a great help with local information; for example, when we expressed interest in seeing a cricket match, she phoned a friend and got details for us about when and where a local match was taking place. Davette's home is well located for exploring; it's right on the bus route, with frequent service south to Bridgetown and north to Holetown and Speightstown. There is a lot of traffic noise, especially when you sit on the front porch, but it didn't bother us at all in our large, comfortable bedroom. Davette encouraged us and her other guests to use the kitchen and public spaces, and we all cooked together a couple of evenings. Great fun!

  • Davette is a great host! I felt home and welcome from the beginning, the house and my room were spacious, clean and very tasteful decorated with art from Africa and NY and perfect situated with a beautiful 'private' beach across the road and with the busstop right in front of the house. Davette was so nice to cook for me and introduced me to her friends and together we mourned and celebrated Nelson Mandelas death in southafrican style! Thinking of diving after many years of not diving she arranged the contact with a very nice dive master, so I had the joy to swim with turtles!! Many thanks for wonderful days in Barbados!!! Ricarda

  • Ms. Davette was an absolute delight! The property is literally across the street from a beautiful beach. The house was well furnished and VERY clean. The bed was HUGE! Thank you for being so kind, it really was a pleasure meeting you! :-)

Becky's by the Sea, Guest House
I am a former resident of Brooklyn, New York, now living in Barbados for the past four years. I love what I am doing and have been told I do it well. I am available to answer questions, make suggestions, give directions and even accompany my guests around the island. Becky's is a single owner occupied private home, located just 50 yards from the beach where there is great snorkeling, very close to public transportation, restaurants and rum shops are right up the road, down the road, all over the island. I love it when I have someone to cook for, so you may wake up to my potato egg casserole, some fresh baked bread, or you may come in from a island touring and find I made you some bajan fish cakes along with a glass of rum punch. Would love to host you and show off my beautiful island.
