I had a wonderful one week long stay here! The apartment was absolutely adorable and very clean.
The furniture - simple but of good taste - enhances the charm of Barbados.
It had everything I could have possibly needed for my stay (for cooking as well for the beach).
The location is simply great: grocery store 5 min walk, all the sights and downtown can be easily reached by bus. It was easy to get the keys and Davette was great. She made sure I had all I needed.
I had nothing but good things to say about Davette as gracious host. I truly appreciated her warm hospitality.
I highly recommend this residence for a nice experience in Barbados. I would definitely return to this unit and highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Barbados.
Thanks again for the great stay!
Our holiday in Barbados was wonderful, and one aspect was the nice home of Davette. Becky's by the sea is a very beautiful house with a great terrace and porch. The room where we lived in was bright and well spaced. The house is placed in the middle of the west coast and a bus stop is just right in front of the house. We had a really good time in fitts village, and most of all we will miss Davette her self. She is such a generous and loving person, and although we had just one day together with her, we will never forget this great woman.
Davette was an extraordinary host. She took us to her very private places on the island. We met great people that we would have never met without Davette. Thank you!
Becky's by the Sea is a fantastic place to stay – it offers everything you need during holidays: nice beach and warm sea just across the street, easy communication to Bridgetown and Speighstown (bus stop nearby), big room with a comfortable bed and a supermarket just less than 10 minutes walk away.
Davette is very friendly and helpful - she will give you tips where to go and how to spend your precious time on Barbados (the places she will recommend are hidden gems of the island). What’s more she was so nice prepare us regional meals such as fishcakes. You can expect a glass of rum punch upon your arrival and many nice conversations in the evening. She is more than a host she will make you feel as you visited an old friend or relative.
Becky's by the Sea is a fantastic place to stay while in Barbados. The beach is directly across the street, the bus comes every few minutes to take you up and down the coast and Davette, the host, is ready to offer suggestions and tips at a moment's notice. Staying in a real Barbados neighborhood is not only relaxing, but you feel like a native for a few days -- not a tourist. When (Not if!) we return to Barbados we look forward to staying with Davette once again.
One of the reasons that I chose to stay at Becky's was the location which is close to the sea and to a friend's house. However, the other reasons were the excellent reviews from previous guests, and I would agree with them.
My room and ensuite had everything that one would need. The bed was very comfortable, and the ceiling fan meant that I slept well without using the air conditioning.
Davette and I ate some meals together, and she took me with her to a exercise class in the ocean which was great fun. Overall, we laughed a lot. Davette is a great host, and that makes a huge difference because I was travelling alone.
The house is really nice and the view from the roof terrace, with a full glass of Mount Gay rum in hand, is a dream.
The house is very spacious and clean.
The own toilet is equipped with a bathtub.
The location is also very central. We had a rental car and were thus able to reach all the beaches on the west side within a few minutes easy.
A supermarket (Jordans) is within walking distance.
The deposit is a bit confusing, since one is actually already hedged about Airbnb.
But well, overall a really recommendable location
We loved our trip to Barbados! We wanted to just come and relax. Davette was a perfect host, she took care of us like we were family and made sure we were comfortable. She's also a riot - chatting on the porch was fun! The room is clean and comfortable with a nice hard bed and soft sheets. The area is great with a really quiet beach across the road and easy access anywhere. Overall a great stay!
Becky's is a delight! Right next to an amazing beach, a bus stop outside the door, a cozy and quiet room with fast WLAN and a large bathroom. Davette is the best; she made us feel at home, gave us great tips and greeted us with an amazing coconut bread... All in all it was a wonderful 4 days in Barbados, and Becky's is a great deal - hotels are terribly overpriced and we wouldn't recommend any of them.
Becky's By the Sea is such a convenient location. Across the street from a swimmable beach, 2 blocks from the grocery store, and right on the bus line. Davette is incredibly welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed and will always remember the nice mornings and evenings chatting with her on her porch. Davette sometimes hosts a few people at once, which was a great way for me as a solo traveler to meet new people. There is a lovely community vibe at Davette's house. I highly recommend staying with Davette at Becky's By the Sea.
