This is a great Midcentury Modern home, ideal for easy access to either Palm Springs itself, or straight onto the Highway for Coachella. For nature lovers - Joshua Tree National Park is 40 minutes drive.

If you have Kids or 4 legged friends, there is a play park down the road, and for golf lovers The Mesquite Country Club PGA golf course is nearby...and the Escena Golf Club is also 5 minutes drive for fantastic Sunday brunches whether you play golf or not!

We have 3 good size bedrooms furnished with 3 Queen beds with luxurious memory foam mattresses. Two rooms look out on to the San Jacinto Mountain range, whilst the Master bedroom with En Suite bathroom looks out onto the cool landscaped rear garden where you can watch the hummingbirds go about their business. It has recently been landscaped, designed to attract butterflies, birds & bees.

The house comes completely stocked with cable, wifi, 42" TV, telephone with free local and national calls. There is also a portable iPod/Smartphone doc for music.

The house supplies towels. The pool has a heater [extra $50 pd by request], with loungers, pool towels, an eating area on the front terrace, a 4 burner BBQ, and a fire pit for evenings where you want to just look at the stars.

The house has had super efficient windows installed to keep it cool, meaning air conditioning can be keep to minimum and reducing our carbon footprint that little bit extra. There are also ceiling fans in each room for personal comfort.

It is located in a quiet neighborhood, but the buzz of Palm Springs is never very far away. The uber cool Ace Hotel bar is less than 5 minutes drive...central Palm Springs is 10 minutes.

Please feel free to pick the lemons from the back garden if they are in fruit...Nothing as lovely as a Gin & Tonic with a fresh slice.

  • I had an awesome time with my friends here! Pool, sun, music, cooking and cocktails! I didn't want to leave! :]

  • My friends and I rented Lizzie's house for 4 nights, into Memorial Day Weekend. There were 6 of us in total and we were extremely comfortable with the size of the house, bedrooms and outdoor areas. We especially loved the great room for cooking, eating and hanging out, along with the perfectly private pool area outside. We felt like there was no one around us all day long except for the mountain ranges and adorable hummingbirds. The house was equipped with just about everything you can imagine or need. Its location was easily accessible to downtown and the airport. The bright color accents and decorations were enjoyed by all of us. We truly loved our time in this house and would definitely return again. The property manager was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. We especially appreciated when he called 2 minutes after we left to tell us we forgot our laptop. I guess we were a little too relaxed! All in all, we were very happy with our accommodations. The house worked perfectly for our group!

  • Lizzie's place was perfect! It was in fact so nice that we had a hard time motivating ourselves to get out and do things. The yard is very nicely landscaped, the pool was perfect, and the interior had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, and everything was spotless when we arrived. The decorations inside were also awesome, especially the Forbidden Plant poster. Gordon the property manager was also very kind and helpful. Almost literally could not be closer to the airport either, what was very convenient.

  • This house was perfect for our trip....3 couples, no kids, one dog! Most of us just wanted to relax by the pool and that's just what we did. We went out for a meal or 2 but mostly just did our own meals and drinks on site. Couldn't have been more comfortable. Gordon, their property manager was attentive and lightning quick replying to texts upon arrival and on check out!

  • Wonderful place and host. The pool and outdoor areas are awesome and the kitchen/living space is nice and wide open. All of the appliances were in great shape and the barbecue was perfect for grillin' up steaks. 10 out of 10!

  • Had a wonderful time in Palm Springs. This house was our sanctuary. Kids, doggies and adults loved it. It is very well maintained and not a thing was missing. I highly recommend.

  • This house was perfect, and we (our little pup included) didn't want to leave! In fact, there was one day that we never left the house and just hung out and grilled and relaxed by/in the pool. We're back to work today and really missing the time we had here. Special thanks to Gordon for being so attentive and gracious, keeping in contact with us regularly if we needed anything (we didn't though, everything we could ask for was there!). Thanks Lizzie, John, and Gordon for letting us have the best time at your beautiful house!

Me and my husband Johnny are big music lovers...enjoy gigs, festivals, art, thrift shopping in the valley...but also doing absolutely nothing in the sunshine preferably with palm trees in the vicinity and a mojito in hand. Our Home in Palm Springs is sparkly, clean and has the ability to make you feel completely relaxed. Like Palm Springs itself! Anyone who expected California to be all about the big Sur....get down to the desert. We love the low rise Palm Springs architecture of Wexler, Kaufmann and Krisel. Its everywhere here. The house was built in the early 60's and we've made it as stylish as we can so you can get the feel of a Californian desert home. We both have creative backgrounds and made them the sort of place we'd like to stay; a bit of designer furniture, a bit of art, a few quirky bits, & a dash of nature. We want you to feel you are in a different place, both physically & mentally - that's what a vacation is all about. The garden has recently been landscaped; one from a bare dust bowl to hopefully, a haven for honey bees and hummingbirds. We will continue adding bits to the houses with art and home furnishings to make it a home from home for you. The town has its own feel, its own spirit. Its a crazy mix of seniors and a massive gay community...so you get a really chilled out vibe, nothing moving too fast but with some very nice cocktail bars. Not forgetting the uber cool Ace Hotel, voted one of the top bars in the USA....great bar with great DJs. A new contender for the crown though is 'Bar' in the centre of town which opened in 2013...great music, cocktails & food! Travel out to the Joshua Tree and you find a creative community doing their own thing. The Coachella valley has a growing art movement....and this will continue to raise Palm Springs profile over the coming years. If you like to be active..or at least pretend to be, the San Jacinto mountain that watches over us, is so so beautiful...cheat and go up on the tram and bring a picnic. Its 30 degrees cooler up there, and you can go snow showing in winter. Either side of that, you can take a lovely spring walk around the pine trees and come back down into the valley for a bit of afternoon sunbathing. There are treks for more fit amongst you, and there is plenty of bike trails for those who love a bit of mountain biking, easy & hard. The Indian Canyons are pretty special and the place to see native palm trees with little bits of heaven dotted around. The Palm Springs Art Museum I would rate as one of the top in the world. Its not over big but has some whopping pieces in it for a town that only holds 40000 people. Giants of Modern art sit alongside landscapes of the local areas, and traditional native work. The exhibitions they bring in are well thought out and never disappoint. The big bonus - its free on a Thursday night. And Thursday night is Village fest in the town...main road shuts and you get stalls with a mix of jewellery, food, clothes and buskers all doing their thing. It gets busy, and if you have a dog, well its the place to show off your pooch - especially round Halloween...they are all dressed up. We are happy to answer any questions, whether it be what restaurants allow doggies, to find where to find the best thrift stores are.
