I am offering a cosy clean single and a double room in my home. You can help yourself to Breakfast. tea coffee, cereal, bread, eggs, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice.yogurt, jam, marmalade, honey . I provide 2 free bikes you can use to cycle the greenway or to Croagh Patrick. There are also some local cycle hubs around Westport.
the house is situated between the town and the quay area. It is a 15 minute walk to town.( you can stroll into town along the old railway line which is now a popular walking and cycling way.) I will provide 2 free bikes for you to cycle to town or to go on the 42klm greenway that runs from Westport to Achill Island, or you can cycle to Croagh Patrick. There are also some local cycling routes, Westport is very bike friendly.
i It is a 5 minute walk to the Quay area and Westport House where you will find restaurants and pubs and an art Gallery. You can also take boat trips out on clew bay from the quay Westport is an unique and charming heritage town. It was voted best place to live in in Ireland by Irish times readers in 2012. Ireland West Airport(Knock) is an hour away. Shannon Airport is 2 and half hours, and Dublin is 4hrsWestport has lots of outdoor activities. The great western greenway starts in Westport. The greenway is the longest off-road cycling and walking trail in Ireland. It is built upon the old railway line between Achill sound in the north and Westport south east of clew bay, it extends for 43.5km(27miles) There are also many stunning beaches to visit, and you can enjoy a seaweed bath. Westport is a great place to use as a base for touring Connemara and Galway is only an hour and a half away. Westport is situated on the wild atlantic way. The wild atlantic way is Irelands first long-distance touring route, stretching along the atlantic coast from Donegal to West Cork when you are tired out after all the activities you can relax either in my home or visit the many restaurants either at the Quay or stroll into town. Westport has lots of free music pubs to enjoy in the evenings. Most famous is Matt Mulloys of the chieftains fame.
Guests have access to the kitchen and living room at all times. If you are cooking a meal I can provide fresh organic vegetables from my garden when in season. The bathroom is shared and I also have a small bathroom downstairs..
Interaction with guests
I am around for guests if they need any information or help in planning their activities. I also know how to give guests privacy especially if they are cooking a meal.
I love the fact that you do not need a car to get around the local area. I love the walk into town along the old railway line. The quay area is 5 minutes away. There is a great supermarket 4mins from the house. You can use the bikes I provide to cycle on the old railway line that is now a cycling and walking route into town. Or you can use the bikes on the 42klm Cycling and walking greenway. Or you can cycle out to Croagh Patrick .
There is a train station, and buses come from all over Ireland. There is free private parking at my house. I provide 2 bikes for getting around while you are here.

I also have a double room to let, its titled cosy double room, breakfast included.
No smoking in the house. I would prefer if no outdoors shoes were worn upstairs. I will provide you with indoor shoes if you wish. outdoor shoes can be worn downstairs. If you are cooking in the kitchen please put all the dishes in the dishwasher and leave the kitchen tidy. I use recycle and domestic waste, I also compost for the garden. As the bathroom is shared please wipe down the shower after use, Thank you.
