  • Great appartment in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood; railway station and city centre can easily be reached by public transport. The landlord is English and a very nice guy indeed.

The flat can easily be used as two appartments with separate entrance doors and shared bathroom and kitchen. The latter was somewhat over-equipped, as if guests would spend all their time preparing meals and pastries. They would miss the sights of the city.

  • This apartment is located at the last floor of Kevin's house. It is a renovated and clean loft but all furniture pieces and most of the other things are old, damaged or don't work properly. Please notice that no double bed is available within the whole apartment! There are 2 single beds that fall apart when you sit or lay on so you have to be very careful not to break them and a couch that theoretically can be used like a bed but it is not suitable for sleeping. We were told that in the bedroom there is also a Murphy single bed ...but no one opened it! So after renting a whole apartment for a couple we ended up in sleeping separately: one on the couch and the other on a fragile single bed!!! If Kevin is not at home do not expect to have any communication with the other members of the family because this won't happen! Kevin is a nice, sociable person and a good communicator but we figured out that he is a beginer host. This is why, after a week spent in his house, before leaving we discussed with him about this activity and gave him some ideas how to significantly improve the comfort of the guests! If he takes into account our suggestions this could be a good accommodation, otherwise Kevin's place is recommended to groups of young people that do not expect anything else except a roof above their heads. Bringing your own towels and linen would be a better option.

Kevin's review added to my profile immediately after I reviewed his place:
"Ms. Stamatoiu was unfriendly made many many sugestions under which we
should throw out the TV because the programs are in German... we live in
Germany!!! If I had to find a word I might try with obnoxious. I liked
    however her husband."
    How the discussion was:
When I complained about the existing beds Kevin told us that he thought
that there was not room enough for a double bed. At this point I suggested
him to move or remove the old TV and the cupboard from that room and use
the space for a NEW double bed because for international travellers a good
and comfortable bed is much more important than an old TV with all programs
in a language that they do not understand. I mention that Dan does not
speak German or English so it was me who told Kevin (or translated) about
all issues we had during our stay in his house.

  • I didn't met Kevin in person, but my two friends did and told me he is a super nice, easy-going fellow. Communication with Kevin before our arrival was always nice, uncomplicated and very fast. The apartment was perfect, it is big enough for 4 persons, very clean and it has anything (i mean: really anything!) one can need. There is also a bus stop just 2 minutes away. I highly recommend!

  • Kevin is really nice host. His appartment is really nice. There are plenty of room for 3-4 people. We liked staying at his place.

    October 2013
  • We spent 3 nights at Kevin's place and were very satisfied. The apartment includes everything you need - even an ironing board! ;-)
A supermarket and bakery is nearby as well as different bus routes to get to the city center or many other directions.
The old city center is within walking distance: 15-20min and a bit longer if you walk back - uphill :)
Kevin is very friendly and helpful. We recommend this place!

  • Kevin's place is super lovely in a very nice neighborhood, spotlessly clean, quitespacious and with well stocked kitchen. There are 2 twin beds, 1 full size pull down beds and a sofa bed that can sleep a total of 4 people comfortably. my husband and I just used the two twin beds in separate rooms. We are average size people and therefore have absolutely no complaints about Kevin's beds. Kevin himself is super sweet, friendly and helpful. He even made us some local dip snacks! Delicious! thanks! We love to shop grocery at either LiDL or Netto, very close to the house. If you have a car like us, he'd let you park in their drive way. We had a fantastic experience with a home away from home.
