Interaction with Guests
Interaction is up to the guests. Knock on our door, text or call us anytime you need but we like to give our guests complete privacy and usually hardly see our guests that stay with us as the studio is completely private.
We love our unique and mixed neighborhood on our no outlet street. Been living here for almost a decade and are friends with the neighbors on our street.
Love that it's bike-able to downtown but away from all the traffic and craziness of the city.
2 Line from Oak Springs Drive & Springdale (approx. 1/2 mile walk from the house to the bus stop) Runs every 30 minutes
17 Line from Lyons & Springdale (approx. .75 mile walk from house) Runs every 15 minutes
Lots of Cars to Go parked in our neighborhood also. Uber and Lyft have been good experiences for some of our more recent guests.
Other Things to Note
We're conveniently located near lots of new east Austin bars and eateries:
The Eastside Showroom
Mueller Trailer Park
Libery Bar with East Side Kings trailer
...just a few of our favorites.
We're also 3 miles from Mueller, where there is a large park and walking trail as well as The Thinkery; a science museum for children. We are members so if our schedules align, we'd be glad to get you in!
One last thing! Due to our young children, allergies and previous bad experiences (boo!) we have to emphasize that ours is a non-smoking and pet-free home. Smoking area provided outside on patio. No pets. Security deposit will not be returned if either of those house rules are broken. Sorry!
Wonderful space. Easy to get to most places in Austin from this location. Hosts were very welcoming! Would definitely stay here again.
Rachel was very quick to respond and very welcoming. Unfortunately, I kept missing her. My friends were visiting from out of town, so the only time we were actually at the apartment was when we were sleeping. Everything was nice and clean.
I don't think you'll find a better place to stay in Austin if you have small children with you. Whether or not you have kids, Rachel's place was perfect, very modern and clean. Great location near east Austin's restaurants, bars, unique shops, etc. Rachel and her family made us feel welcome but gave us space to enjoy our stay.
Despite being a bit jet lagged when we got there, Rachel greeted us with lots of humor and brownies. The space was bigger than we thought and our kids fell in love with the basketball net right outside the door. The apartment is a bit on the eastern edge of Austin which wasn't always super practical but allowed us to bump in to some great gems in the eastside (like the fusebox festival) every time we came home.
We loved staying at Rachel's house. She was very gracious and her place was very welcoming. Thank you again.
My three friends and I spent 2 nights at this very cute place in Austin, TX. The space was very cute, clean, and nice. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Rachel welcomed us with mini brownies, that were delicious. She explained all of the house rules to us, providing a binder of specific instructions and additional information. My favorite part was the suggested restaurants, including their menus on the shower curtain. Such a cute idea! Also, loved staying a little outside the city, so we didn't have to worry about parking. It's just a 10-15 ride to the city! We took uber a few times, which was just $10 a trip. Checking out was incredibly easy, and there were no problems at all. Highly recommend this place!
