The Space

Situated in Bangkok’s Siam district, in the heart of the city’s most exciting and dynamic neighborhood, our apartment offers visitors a chance to experience the capital as an insider. Ideal for single travelers or couples, this luxurious, beautifully furnished 1-bedroom private apartment with five-star facilities is an affordable alternative to Bangkok hotels.

First Neighborhood as Jim Thompson House. Our apartment is located in the super-hip part of Bangkok, off the busy street in the new building name "The Seed Memories Siam", within steps to National Stadium BTS Skytrain Station and walking distance to prime shopping centers, including MBK Center (5 minutes); Siam Center (5 minutes); Siam Discovery (5 minutes); Siam Paragon (10 minutes); Siam Square (10 minutes); Central World (13 minutes); and Central Chidlom (15 minutes).

It takes not over 10 minutes by Tuk Tuk or Taxi to Platinum Mall (fashion wholesale mall) as well as to Bangkok Chinatown. Plus, take BTS from where we are located right straight to Tak Sin Pier where you can take free ferry to Asiatique the Riverfront, the huge happening spot.

You could be shopping in Bangkok’s most happening, stylish malls but any time you feel like it you could easily return to the cozy comfort of your private haven to recharge in no time (perhaps, drop by for cheap and nice foot massage at the massage place located 1 minute away :)

The apartment offers all the luxuries of a modern home:

- 1 bedroom with a king-sized bed and plush linen
- 1 bathroom with shower and 2 fresh towels
- Fully furnished living room with dining area
- Fully equipped pantry with cooktop, microwave, fridge, and toaster
- Free fast dedicated Wi-Fi
- 42” LCD TV with a wide selection of HD movies (Enjoy our latest selection of high definition movies. If the bluray version of the movie is released, we most likely have it.)
- Cable TV with a variety of HD channels
- iPod/iPhone/iPad Charger, Speaker Dock
- Iron/ironing board
- Hair dryer
- Balcony

With amenities such as concierge service, swimming pool, fitness and steam room, lotus pond, children’s playground—all safely enclosed within a tranquil, private compound with CCTV and 24-hour security system—here, we has everything you could ever need.

Check In
  • The apartment was lovely and just what we were needing. She was flexible in check in and check out times. The security of the place was nice and the area around the apartment is fantastic with the Jim Thompson Museum, MBK, loads of street food, a 7-11 nearby and a great massage place just down the street. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice place to stay!

  • Aor's apartment is great, exactly what you seen in the pictures, cozy, quiet, and clean. Great location, nearby National Stadium BTS, 7-Eleven and Lek Massage. It's very convenient to go any where, we did have a great time at there!

  • This is my 3rd time to book through airbnb. This trip is with my husband, kids, and extended family. We had 3 units booked (2 units from Aor and 1 from Pawin) all of which are excellent. The place is exactly what you see in the pictures. The cleanliness, facilities, and location (near to MBK and BTS) are a big plus! A big group like us was handled very well by our very accommodating host Aor. From the very beginning of the inquiry til we left Bangkok, she was there to answer all our needs and questions. She is very helpful and reliable. Would glad to share this to our friends who will be visiting Bangkok.

  • The apartment is exactly how it was photographed and there were everything we needed. I love that most of the furniture were from Ikea. The location is great, only a 2-minute walk away from National Stadium BTS, 7-Eleven and Lek Massage House. It is very convenient to get a cab/tuktuk at the main road in front of soi. The condo is very secure and safe, security guards are there almost all the time. Albeit the apartment is small, it is very clean and cozy, makes us feel like we are home. Cable TV and the movie selection is great as well, although the genre of movies were mostly action. We were so tempted to just stay in, cook and watch movie! There was an extra mattress and 2 blankets in the wardrobe which came to good use as my partner & I has a bad habit of lazing on the couch while watching TV. The bed is soft and very fluffy to our liking. The bathroom is clean and toiletries were provided. Because the area is small, so when we cooked, we had to switch off the aircon. The smell stained our shirt so only dress up after you cook!

A pity we didn't get to meet Aor herself in person but when the bathroom lights broke down, her husband came down the next morning at 7AM (because he had to work & we totally understand) and fixed it. The next day, the lights in the living room and balcony broke down. Aor came down while we were out to fix it and she brought the wrong bulb but we told her it was okay and we could make do without the balcony lights. On our last day, because there weren't any guest checking in on the day itself, Aor allowed us to check out only at 5PM which was great help. We truly appreciate her service and hospitality.

It was a great 4D3N stay and we enjoyed ourselves on this much needed break away from work/home. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Khob kun mak ka!

  • Great location! Just 1 block to the National Stadium sky train station and down the street from the Jim Thompson House, which we enjoyed as an easy excursion. Gated condominium with great security. Need key to get in & out (only 1 key provided). Small gym with some free weights and a couple of machines...enough for a decent workout. Outdoor pool was nice, but water was icy cold. Apartment was exactly as pictured....super clean, but the cleaning lady forgot the kitchen...the microwave was a mess (I cleaned it) and there were spills in the fridge...otherwise, the place was spotless and comfortable. We bought groceries at the gourmet supermarket at Siam Paragon (1 stop away) for an easy breakfast each day....this mall also had the best food court! Aor was great at communicating over email right away...reassured us before we arrived that the apt was away from the protest areas. Tip: If you're jet lagged, buy water bottles before you the airport or 7 eleven, 2 blocks away. Would highly recommend this apt!!

  • I have stayed in both of Aor's apartments at Seed Memories.

Both are lovely and very inviting, I much prefer this apartment to the other one she has listed - the design is nicer, the bathroom more practical, the kitchen area more inviting and the lounge a better layout, although, the view is not as nice as the other apartment.

I would fully recommend a stay here next time you are in Bangkok.

I stayed at this apartment in late 2012 and loved it so much I came back again in 2013.

It is in a great location, the BTS is a 2 minutue walk from the apartment and MBK and the incredible Bangkok modern art gallery is a few minutes further along. The area is great because it does not have the sleaze of many touristy areas in Bangkok and is remarkably quiet considering it is in the middle of the city.

I would recommend a visit to the small shops in Siam Square - smaller designers and better quality clothes than at MBK. Bangkokians shop here, they don't really shop at MBK - tha'ts largely for tourists.

There is a massage place on the same soi (it was ok, but nothing flash). A visit to Yunomori Onsen is a far nicer experience.

There are two food stalls closeby that are perfect for breakfast, either to your left or right as you walk onto the soi - they may not look the prettiest, but the food is tasty, fresh and cheap (40baht for a pad see ew or some pork on rice).

If you fancy a longer stroll for breakfast when you get to the mainstreet head right (away from the BTS and walk for a few minutes past the Holiday Inn and Siam@Siam. There is a great morning market down the road beside the Tesco Lotus centre. The first stall does a great Chicken (either fried or steamed) - called kow man gai that is so tasty and fresh. But you can also get soup, papaya salad, grilled chicken, roti, sticky rice, fruit, tea (cha nom yen is the best), coffee, juice and any number of other things (great way to start a morning). Not a tourist in sight either.

We has an issue with the aircon breaking and it was fixed as soon as we raised it with Aor - great service. She also made some great recommendations for places to eat in Bangkok, unfortunately I wasnt able to make it to the hairy crab restaurant. Next time i guess.

  • This unit is in a great position to enjoy what Bangkok has to offer. It is secure, clean, central, convenient and quiet. It also has most things you need to make your visit comfortable including air-conditioning. Easy to get to and easy to get tuk tuks or taxis. The railway is just a few minutes walk away. Food stalls all around and shopping malls within a few minutes walk too. Not much in the way of cooking facilities, however, we ate out every meal from the street vendors or the eating area in the nearby shopping malls. Great place to stay and will use this accommodation again if we get back to Bangkok.

I'm a lifelong Bangkok resident, but I love to travel the world. Wherever I go, I try to stay in vacation homes, bed & breakfasts, or apartments. I prefer to live like a local where possible rather than just stay in hotels. I would like to stay in a cozy place by a river or a farm house where I can explore the natural surroundings. As I mentioned, I've always had a passion for travel. As the Digital Media Manager at an international travel publication, I stay updated on all best places to go to. Some of my favorite trips have been to the US, Switzerland, China, Japan, and New Zealand. The vacation I will always remember the most though was in Santorini, Greece. I love to experience all sorts of different things, from national parks in North America to traditional culture in China to chili crab in Singapore. Photography is my obsession and I never go on a trip without my camera. I love taking pictures of whatever inspires me, but I'm especially moved by natural landscapes. I would be happy to host people and show them around my area. Please contact me if you are interested.
