Other Things to Note
There's no strict check-in check-out time, we'll adapt to your time of arrival or departure.
We have tourist information in differents languages, and most impoortant, our experiece living in Valencia for more tha 10 years.
You'll have your own key for going out and in whenever you want.
If you need anything else, just ask, we'll do our best to help. We've hosted more than a hundred guests so you won't surprise us. ;)
Most of these rule will seem just common sense rules to most of you, but, after some experiences with some guests, we learn that common sense is less common than we thought.
Yes, you can use the laundry machine, but you need to ask us before doing it, we'll give you laundry detergent and fabric softener and we'll help you to program it. For environment respect, please, fill correctly the laundry machine, if you don't have enough clothes for a full machine, we'll probably have some clothes to fill it. Note: Two tank tops and a pair of panties is not considered a correctly filled machine.
At home, you can use all the cutlery and kitchen utensils without any problem, cups, plates, dishes, pans, juice maker... just open the right cupboard and take them. But you CAN'T get our food without asking, of course, if you are staying just a few days at home, you don't have to buy a full bag of salt or a bottle of oil, if you ask us we'll be happy giving it to you.
Please, if something get broken, just tell us, don't hide or throw it, it's normal that things break, but we need to know so we can fix it or buy a new one.
If you cook or eat at home, please, leave the kitchen clean enough, it doesn't have to be perfect, but either being a pigsty, we are also using that kitchen.
Some people use some hair or skin products that can bleach fabric colors on towels or pillows. If this is your case, please warn us and we'll give you some pillows or towels that were already damaged so we don't have to buy new towels or linen for the next guests.
We ask you to not smoke in the room to avoid odors or inconveniences to the next guests.
If you have any doubt or question to use something on the house, please, ask us, we prefer to explain something twice than beign sorry because they weren't used correctly.
The most important rule is to respect the apartment and ourselves.
We had a great time there. Thank you both for the wonderful place. The location was great too. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Valencia
We really enjoyed our stay at Stefania's and Tano's appartment. They were very hospitable and helpfull for our visit to the city. The apartment is absolutely amazing, I have never seen an apartment so detailed with tiny things and artistic objects that is so clean at the same time.
The room is very nice, although it was very hot during our visit. Luckily we had a fan ;)
The location is perfect for touristic highlights and there is a little bakery around the corner for breakfast. Placa Virgen is aroudn the corner as well, perfect for late night cocktails.
The bike cards Stefania and Tano borrowed us came in very handy for a visit to the beach (about 40 mins if you bike slowly like us) and the Oceanografic and the beautiful buildings around it. Because Stefania and Tano also lend us beach towels and shower towels so we had lots of space left in our suitcases for shopping. The portable WiFi device also came in handy so we could explore the city using Google Maps. All together it was a very complete and comfortable stay in a beautiful part of Valencia with very hospitable hosts!
Our stay at Stefania's was bliss......lovely.......very nice. She (and her partner) were extremely welcoming, very hospitable and unbelievably helpful. They gave us suggestions and recommendations, which made our trip.
The accommodation was clean, and comfortable. (No air con which made evenings v v hot but despite that perfect! ). Great location and east walking distance to many attractions etc.
First Airbnb experience and fabulous! Thanks for everything
-The room isn´t sunny.
-The next point is that the bedroom size is 3x3,5 m wich is very small. In this room there are 2 beds (one of these is a bunk bed),one long table,an armchair and one cupboard wich is nearly half occupied with their stuff. With three people, you an hardly be together in the room, if you are not sitting on the beds.
For this we payed 800 Euro for 16 days (mother with two children, 12 an 10 years old). We thought, we could use the common room as well, as descripted, but in fact they are there all day long, occupy it and don´t want you to be there ore leave even a very small thing on the table for an hour...The balcony is a typical spanish one what means that one person can stand on it without turning around.
The rooms aren´t air-conditioned.
They do have an air-contitioner, but they ever switched it on.
-Stephania and Tardo (It is their common flat) pay attention permanently that you hold the apartment spotlessy clean.
-You can put your things into the dishwashes but your must not switch it on. Also they say in their discripion you an use the washing machine but you´re not ideed aloud to; we could only one time durring 16 days stay put something to their laundry.
-The WIFI is verry badly and after a week it did not work anymore.
-Anytime they come into "our" bathroom, withot knocking at the door.
-You get very small space in the fridge.
-When we have been at home again they demandet us to pay 63 Euro more for cleaning the stairwell witch we did´tcleave dirty.
-The flat is very close to a plaza where is it loud until 3 o´clock am.
Because of they do not use the air contioner you mustleave the window open,so it is very hard to sleep.
-If you want to cook you are not aloud to use their salt, pepper and so on. So you must buy your own and you get the problem that you have not enough space to stow it in the kitchen.
-They also shouted at us that we made the bathtowel ditry and we bought them a new one.
I don't even need to answer everything point by point, becuase, regarding the bedroom, fortunately, we have almost 200 other reviews averaging 5 stars on every aspect: location, VERACITY, quality an so on. Maybe the room is not a suite, but it wasn't so small when we let your boyfriend stay for free for four nights.
Of course guests can use all the common space, and you used it even more than us, maybe because of that it was terribly dirty, we don't want it spotless clean, but neither we want rice, pasta, coffee and popcorn all over the floor and the sofa all dirty with butter or oil because your children can't use a paper towel.
We decided to take out our extra virgin olive oil when one day you used half a pint without permission, that's more than we use in one week. And, actually, it is not listed, we just lend it to whoever we want, that's not your case.
The asked 63 euros, weren't for cleaning the stairs, that were actually terribly dirty with something that we are sure was yours because your left some paper towels with that very same dirt in the garbage, whatever it was. They were for all the new linen we had to buy because you don't want to teach your children some respect and education. Every single sheet, linen, even down though the mattress was stained with ink, we asked a cleaning service and they said they don't clean ink stains because it may ruin the fabrics. Airbnb had all the pictures of everything as you left it and actually they said that we are right, so, at least, don't lie.
And regarding the bathroom, we, NEVER, EVER, came in without knocking, maybe you can also teach your girl to close the door when using the bathroom door next to the living room. And we only came in to do the laundry and clean your bathroom, ah, well, and also to fix the shower head holder you broke, too. (In Spain we still don't have Elves fixing things overnight, we had to do it ourselves)
In any case, we don't think we must waste any other time with you, we already wasted two days to clean all the mess and dirt you left so the next guests could had the great experience they deserved, and they actually had.
