The East Savannah Cabin is a large two bedroom, one bath home 8 min. to the historic district and 12 min. to the beach! It has just undergone a complete renovation! I have put a lot of effort into making it as stylish and as functional as possible!
Outside we have just put in a hammock on the double back deck. There is a fire pit outside as well, All of this makes the large side yard and double lot a relaxing place to forget you are in the city. Every week the house is looking better and better as I am always buying things for it so as to make it the best vacation home for your visit. Also, this helps feed my Ikea addiction!
There is off street parking for two cars and parking on the street out front is no problem.

Daniel was very welcoming and helpful in getting our group settled and situated. The home was comfortable, well-equipped, clean, and user-friendly. We loved sitting out on the back porch, playing music and listening to the birds. The neighborhood is residential, exceptionally quiet, and within pleasant walking distance of the cemetery written about in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Overall, we had a lovely time and really enjoyed Jonathan's home.
We had a wonderful time in Jonathan's house! Jonathan personally welcomed us when we arrived, showed us around the house and gave us tips on what to do in Savannah. Very helpful!
The house is really warm, clean, and has plenty of amenities -- cooking was convenient, and the living room was a nice place to hang out. It's close to downtown Savannah, but also far enough away to be quiet and close to the beach. A great place to stay!!
My wife and kids stayed at the house. On arrival my wife had an accident bringing in the suitcase from the car. As she was lifting it up the porch stairs she ripped off her toe nail from her big toe. It was extremely painful for her as you can imagine. She could not find a first aid kit, so I called Jonathan and he so kindly went to the house to check on her. He was so nice and ended up driving her to the emergency room and dropping her off. After a few hours, she was able to taxi it back to the house with her crutches and stay the night at the house. The rest of their stay was nice. She was a bit worried about the neighborhood and the surrounding area. She said it wasn't the nicest neighborhood and didn't feel so safe at the house, especially at night. Overall with the nice host and for the price it worked out for their one night stay.
Cute cabin that is very convenient to both Savannah and Tybee Island.
Jonathan and Daniel were very helpful and incredibly prompt when responding to questions or concerns.
We'd definitely stay there again when visiting Savannah.
Our stay was great. Jonathan was extremely friendly and helpful with the area. The house is exactly as pictured. The neighborhood looked a little scary at first, but we learned quickly that we were in a safe area and felt completely safe at the house. It seems like everything we wanted to do was within 2.5 miles from the house. Thanks, Jonathan, for a great place at an affordable price!
Jonathan was very accommodating in meeting us at the house on our schedule when we arrived to town. The house was just the right size for four of us, and met our needs for our one night stay.
I was a little disappointed in the neighborhood--it is older (1950s era) and close to low income areas. It was very quiet, so there were no disturbances, but I usually go for a morning run and did not feel comfortable doing so.
It was a fairly short drive into Savannah, so that was no problem as long as you are prepared to find parking.
My husband & I spent 10 great days in Savannah at Jonathan's "Savannah Cabin" in February. We were driving south from Maine, trying to escape the historically cold and snowy NE winter, but the weather followed us all the way to Savannah, and most of our stay was cold and damp. However, from the moment we called, as instructed, to say we were an hour away, both Jonathan and his assistant, Daniel, were warm, welcoming, and responsive. Daniel met us with at the cabin, lights on, heat cranking, and instructions and suggestions both for maximizing the comforts of the house, and ideas for places to go and restaurants to consider.
The house was very much as described. It was obvious we stayed longer than most people, and used the kitchen more. At one point I called to ask for a couple of oven-useable pans, and Jonathan had them delivered in a timely fashion. The neighborhood was very quiet, and while it appeared to be a modest area, we always felt safe and welcomed. I wish it had been a bit closer to town, but once we got our bearings it was fine. Also, Jonathan and Daniel have a few places, and if I had known that I might have talked to him about what other options we had. I will definitely seek them out next time we are in Savannah.
All in all, the cabin was a great place to call home, and we felt much less like tourists and very glad we had chosen a house when the weather persisted and we could not do some of the out door walks so famous in Savannah. We were happy we had a cozy place to curl up and read in, rather than be stuck in a hotel room!
