About This Listing
The East Savannah Cabin is a large two bedroom, one bath home 8 min. to the historic district and 12 min. to the beach! It has just undergone a complete renovation! I have put a lot of effort into making it as stylish and as functional as possible!
Outside we have just put in a hammock on the double back deck. There is a fire pit outside as well, All of this makes the large side yard and double lot a relaxing place to forget you are in the city. Every week the house is looking better and better as I am always buying things for it so as to make it the best vacation home for your visit. Also, this helps feed my Ikea addiction!
There is off street parking for two cars and parking on the street out front is no problem.

I will try to meet you when you arrive and answer any questions you may have. Also I will make sure you can call me if you need anything! From good parking spots downtown, to where is the best southern cooking for your dime, Anything I can help you with!

Jonathan and Daniel were exceptional hosts. Daniel was at the housed waiting for us when we arrive and was extremely welcoming. He provided an overview of the house, Savannah and basically was a ambassador for region. The house was exactly what we expected and was perfect for us, being a family of 5. Everything is fairly close in Savannah so while this listing wasn't in the core it only took us 5-15 minutes to pretty much get anywhere we wanted to get to by car. Definitely need a car if you stay at this listing. There are others in the core but to see Savannah, at some point you'll want to drive to the Tybee Island (15 minutes from the house).
Jonathan and Daniel were always available via text or cell and would answer any questions we had and never made us feel we were imposing. They truly made us feel like their lives evolved around their guests. Thanks to their generous hospitality we will forever remember our family vacation in this beautiful city. We would most definitely go back!
While there was a bit of a snafu at the house before our arrival (which required us to check in 2 hours later than expected), Daniel was there to great us and show us around when we arrived.
Jonathan/Daniel left a list of local restaurants on the kitchen fridge.
There were a few additional inconveniences during our stay (broken washing machine, wifi not working) which Jonathan made a point of addressing.
The is a local, eclectic neighborhood (dogs barking, kids playing in the street, music playing nearby) which we were fine with.
Jonathan and Daniel were so pleasant and great to deal with. We felt very welcome. The house suited our needs perfectly and we had plenty of room. We took their advice and went to the sand sculpting competition on the beach-lots of fun! Will definitely return to this lovely home.
Jonathan was at the house when we pulled up and made us feel most welcome. We were a bit sketched out by the neighborhood but Jonathan's reassurances and our own experience proved that those concerns were not warranted. The house is (email hidden)sh vegetation gave it that Savannah flavor, the back deck was wonderful for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Everything was provided except future guests should know to bring soap for the shower. The beds were very comfortable, the closets had hangers, the fridge was very clean and, if you brought ingredients, you could easily have cooked a meal if you wanted to (we declined...it was vacation after all!). It was unexpectedly chilly at night when we were there, but Jonathan had extra comforters stashed in a closet so we were good to go. The thermostat was easy to figure out, the front door lock is a combination so no keys to worry about, and Jonathan even has reading material around if you have forgotten yours. The drive to Savannah center is maybe 5 minutes and so easy; you can also pick up supplies at a nearby Target or Kroger going the other way. The house is also on the east side of Savannah and so a side trip to Tybee Island was a piece of cake (and you should go...talk about a laid back beach experience...North beach is fabulous). All in all, staying here was perfect for two friends just looking to get away from our everyday lives and relax while exploring a new, interesting, different place to be.
My experience at the cabin was the best choice I'd made in a long time in terms of looking for a place to stay while out of town. The host, Jonathan, was charismatic and had such a warm welcoming vibe to him and it was a pleasure to meet him. The cabin is in a centrally located location close to downtown Savannah, there is a Kroger, Whole Foods, little cafes and local owned businesses around thus, I felt like I had options when it came to exploring the city. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
