  • Parisina's flat is amazing! It has a brilliant location, it is clean, beautiful and there were everything that we need. There were so many beautiful things, that made our stay very cozy. A housekeeper, Violetta, was so kind and every morning she served breakfast for us. There was no problem with check-in and check-out: you can leave your baggage in the lobby and wait on a comfortable sofa.
And Parisina's flat is really in the center of Rome, so close to the major attractions, metro and bus stations.
    Thank you, Parisina!

  • The location is superb and the room was delightfully furnished with a lot of character and is very spacious. It also has a small fridge and a pedestal fan. You can open the windows for fresh air, there is a lift in the building (big plus) and we were able to leave some luggage there while we travelled to other parts of Italy for a week.

  • It was a beautiful apartment, every piece of furniture and book in this apartment was antique. It was very comfortable and the hostess was very pleasant and helpful. It is in an excellent location, walkable distance from Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. It was also very close to the Metro station. I would not hesitate to stay here again, it was just lovely.

  • Parisina was very accommodating to our needs, and we were able to book her room last minute! The space is in a perfect location to explore all of Rome.

  • If you want authentic, old-fashioned, Italian-style decrepitude, you got it. Don't shower unless you are below a size 10 - you won't get in it. Furniture may collapse on you. It's clean and Violetta is helpful. There's no kettle to make a cuppa, no iron. It's noisy but then - this is Italy. Take it with a good sense of humour.

    Response from Parisina:

I think that you have mistaken antique furniture of my family with old furniture, if you asked about iron to the housekepeer Violetta you would have it and there is also a small kitchenthat is possible to use , in the large apartment to make a cup of tea or cofee, you had to talk with Violetta that is always present because she lives in the floor below and with you was helpful , at last I am sorry that you don't like Italy sounds!

  • I didn't get to meet Parisina but Violetta, the house-keeper was on-hand to meet me, even at the late time of night that I arrived. She also passed on a gift from Parisina to me, which I was taken by surprise by this lovely gesture. This rental is for a room with bathroom within an apartment, not the whole apartment. The room I was in was a large room with it's own bathroom. In keeping with the type and age of the building that the apartment is in there was a cage-lift inside the stairwell to get up to the floor – it's only big enough to fit 1-2 people and about 2 suitcases, however I like the look of these kinds of lift. The stairs were wide, not too steep. The furniture in the room is a bit of a melange and has seen better days, the cupboard doors didn't shut properly the curtained bed is a nice touch and there are some lovely portraits on the walls perhaps of Parisina? and her daughter/s? There is a TV in the room but the nearest electrical socket already has a multi-socket board plugged into it and not enough sockets to be able to use the TV. So bring a book with you to read. No air conditioning, just a pedestal fan, which was ineffective in the August summer heat – it made for uncomfortable nights that were just too hot to be able to sleep or be comfortable. The bathroom is a good size too – but the shower stall is so tiny that even I always banged my elbows on the concertina-curtain doors or wall whenever I moved inside the shower – and I have short arms because I'm only 148cm tall. The location seemed like it would be very convenient, about 200 meters from the closest metro station but via Sistina is quite steep to the Spanish Steps, the narrow footpaths in the street and simply the distance to the nearest metro station made luggage handling difficult. There are good shops in via Sistina, between the apartment and via Tritone ( clothes, shoes, bags, a souvenir shop) – if only they were open and I could have gone into them! Many were closed for holidays in August. There are also cafes and bars on via Tritone just down from the intersection with via Sistina which made it easy and convenient to get breakfast. There is a council truck depot on the back street behind via Sistina which was very unexpected, I was initially horrified because I thought they would be garbage trucks and with lots of odours and smells – this hadn't been mentioned at all. Luckily they seem to be something like maintenance trucks as there was no smell. But they start early in the morning and their return at night is equally disruptive. Overall, the apartment is a good price for the location, it's a bigger room than you'd get in an hotel yet there were...

  • We didn't get to meet Parisiana but her house keeper Violetta has been there to help us checking in and out. Tourist maps and books are provided in the room. The location was very convenient, just around 200 meters from the closest metro station. The house has an old regal fair and it's generally quiet. The bathroom is somehow small and the general hygiene is just ok. Overall It's not bad for the price.

  • This apartment is in a wonderful location and close to the best shopping, sightseeing and dining areas. So easy to get to from the airport and convenient for the hop on hop off bus.
I had a comfortable bed, a good shower and everything I needed.
Violetta, the housekeeper was always close by if any help was needed.
