Other things to note
We are taking extra precautions in regards to sanitizing our rentals. This includes using hospital grade disinfectant spray. If you are feeling ill or have possibly been exposed to COVID-19, please delay your trip to West Texas.

Laundry house is 100 feet from the cabin. It is free for you to use during your stay. Periodically shared with guests of The Rustic Bunkhouse (Only during long stays and we will confirm availability with you prior).

*NO FIRES OR GRILLS!! It is too much of a risk here as our homes are surrounded by dry grassland. Even if we get rain, it’s not enough for us to allow fires. It is too much of a risk. Thank you for understanding.

Amazing dark sky at the cabin. No light pollution from town. Bring your telescope.

No train noise that you would get when staying in Alpine.

Bring your binoculars for bird and animal watching!!

We provide fresh linens, blankets, towels, pillows & toilet paper.

Cell service varies in the Alpine area, per carrier. We offer free WiFi at the cabin for WiFi calling and hosts have a land line available, if needed.

Water filter provided right on the kitchen faucet. We do have a double filtration system; however, our water does come from 1200 feet of lava tube which causes extremely hard water. Rest assured, the water is safe. If you don’t prefer drinking well water, please bring bottled. We have installed a softener system as well.

My husband Marty and I re-located to west Texas from Michigan. What a change! :o) We have adventured and experienced all that the area has to offer. Don't hesitate to ask us about exciting things to see and do. We love enjoying the amazing scenery. From the magnitude of wildlife to the wildflowers and cactus, there is a never ending list of things to enjoy in the Alpine area. We frequent Big Bend National Park and love to go on spur of the moment drives to see new things. I enjoy going for walks along our property and relaxing on the porch. We look forward to meeting you!
