Interaction with Guests
I work, so, most of the time, from Monday to Friday I am out of the apartment, and I arrive rather late. On weekends I stay at home or go out for the day, part of it or the whole weekend.
There is a park just one block away. There are some supermarkets really near and other little groceries, and also a gas station and a pharmacy both 24h open. Just about 6 blocks you have the Abasto Shopping (mall). You have the Alto Palermo Shopping just two subway stations (line D) away, or about 15 minutes of walk.
Faculty of medicin and economic sciences of UBA (University of Buenos Aires) are just 4 blocks away. The "Hospital de Clínicas" (public health), associated with the faculty of medicin is also very near. Universidad de Palermo has one of its buildings just about 50 meters in the same block. Two blocks away there is a residence for foreign students.
In the neigborhood you have several restaurants with delivery services (sushi, pizzas, traditional food ("empanadas") , chinesse food, armenian food, internacional food, peruvian food).
It's located near to main avenues (Av. Córdoba, Av. Pueyrredón, Av. Santa Fé, Av. Corrientes), with a lot of bus options, and three subway lines (D, B and H). Its a quiet and secure neighbourhood.
There is a person that weekley is in charge of cleaning. Anyway, some order and respect for common spaces is desired.
To make phone calls the guest should have his own phone card and use it with the apparment line.
The guest can receive phone calls at appartment phone number. Smoking is allowed only near windows. There are windows in the room and in the balcony. Smoking is not allowed in common places (living room, kitchen), neither in the bathroom omr the bedroom. There is terrace on the upper floor where you can freely smoke.
The kitchen should be kept clean. Anything used should be washed after its use. The fridge in the kitchen is for common use, so responsable use of space and order is desirable. The guest is responsible of providing his own food.
The guest has to provide his own soap when using the washing machine.
Rogelio was a very kind and welcoming host. He works long hours, so most of the time, I had the apartment to myself. His apartment is in a very central location in Buenos Aires and conveniently located next to several bus lines and supermarkets. Having fast Wi-Fi, cable TV, and my own bathroom made my stay more enjoyable. The only thing I wish I had was a larger bed, but the room is a good size. I would recommend Rogelio's apartment for people who are planning to visit Buenos Aires on a budget.
Lovely apartment in a wonderful location. Rogelio is really friendly and communicated everything very well, would definitely stay again!
Thank you Rogelio for being my host, City guide, spanish teacher and friend in Buenos Aires! I wish I can return one day and would appreciate to find "my room" being offered that day:-) It's been my pleasure to contribute some german-style engineering to some renovation measures and I'm sure that future guests will appreciate the freshly applied sun protection, enjoy the latin-american-style decoration and all the other Features of this flat, that will surely keep experiencing lots of sophistication and commitment of its owner.
Rogelio meanwhile moved back into his flat, is a very well organized, attentive and funny flatmate and did everything to make my stay comfortable. I will stay for another month:-)
I absolutely loved staying at Rogelio's place for another 6 weeks. I stayed here for a total of 3 months. The permanent tenant, Walter is a nice and quiet guy. I also had the pleasure of meeting Rogelio one, and he is such a gentleman. Neighbors in the building are very nice, as well. I would recommend this place.
I stayed at Rogelio's place for 6 weeks and the apartment is really quite charming. Rogelio is great with fast communication. The other tenant Walter is generally pleasant and not around too often. We did have a minor communication issue but overall I enjoyed my stay and time in Buenos Aires that I decided to keep the apartment for another 6 weeks!
