New to the vacation rental market beginning December, 2012!
Hear the surf from this gorgeous luxury house with a stunning view of Playa Garza. Trade the heat, noise and bugs of the beach for lush green vistas and cool ocean breezes. The house features a master bedroom, two bedroom with queen beds, and one off the garage with a bunk bed.
Nearby activities are almost endless: kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, deep sea fishing, spa, horseback riding, hiking, and many fine restaurants.
- Yoga classes and retreats in the area: Nosara Yoga Institute and Blue Spirit Conference Center.
- Turtle watching: At Ostional Wildlife Refuge you could observe the monthly “Arribada”, the coming ashore of thousands of Ridley sea turtles to lay their eggs, or even help protect the hatchlings on their march to the sea.
- Canopy tour [zip lines] in nearby Nosara. “Miss Sky Canopy Tours” boasts the longest tour in the world.
Return home at the end of your active day to lounge in tranquility by the private infinity pool, watch the howler monkeys, grill a steak, or cook a pizza in the outdoor oven as you watch the sun set. Pura vida!
We had a wonderful stay at the Casa Vista de la Costa - or 'House with View of the Coast' which is an understatement. This home is absolutely spectacular, with stunning views; if not MORE stunning than the pictures. I rented out this home to accomodate my parents, parents-in-law, brother, sister-in-law and my grandmother. My grandmother, with limited mobility, found the home easy to navigate with her wheeled walker, which I cannot say for any other homes I looked to rent. While it is 'elderly friendly' with the master and main bath on the main floor, it was also very tastefully decorated and updated. The terraces were beautiful, and something that is not captured by the pictures is that the pool can be illuminated at night! My little cousins would bring their bathingsuits so that after dinner we could go in for a dip! The kitchen was wonderfully stocked, and the gentleman who tends to the property gave us free reign to use any condiments in the fridge so that the smaller amenities (vegetable oil, salt, pepper, etc) did not need to be purchased! In the afternoons, when the sun was too hot to be outside, we would all sit back in the living room with a cold drink, (email hidden) in the comfortable seating area/living room. On new years, we held a get together with family, and the sound system was powerful enough to play a few tunes that got everyone up and dancing!
As for location, some would say it is a bit off the beaten path, but I would say this is absolutely a blessing in disguise. We spent most of our time surfing the waves of Playa Guiyones in Nosara, and the rental homes there were surrounded by the hussle and bustle of the tourism. At this home, the surroundings are peaceful and quiet, and are still just a stone's throw from all the great things like deep sea fishing and only a 15 min drive to the great shops and restaurants in Nosara.
If there was a single thing that I would change, I suppose we would have liked the BBQ to work, as it looked so great in the pictures... but the sea salt had caused all the inner workings to corrode to the point they didn't work (very common for ocean view homes though!). We made do though, and didn't put a damper on the plans. Luckily, we were able to borrow a BBQ from friends in the area.
Overall, I would say that this place is spectacular - I would recommend it to young families and older couples alike! Very safe neighbourhood, very safe home (great for kids providing they are proficient swimmers as the pool has stairs, but is not fenced), and just simply stunning :) Thanks for the wonderful service, wonderful owners, and the lovely time! I would definitely come back again!
