The Navarro House is situated on the Mendocino coast with an unobstructed view where the Navarro River reaches the Pacific Ocean. This extraordinary cabin has been recently updated featuring an expansive deck and access to a hot tub and BBQ/ Fire pit area shared with the guest house. Well behaved pets welcome! The space
This cabin can accommodate up to 6 guests. However, for maximum comfort, 4 guests is a more ideal number. Please note the bed and room situation: The master suite has 1 king bed with attached bathroom and the second bedroom has a queen + full size futon. There are 2 x jr twin fold out mattresses for the floor in any room. You can have up to 6 guests and we don’t mind if you don’t and we just ask that you help conserve water since we are on a well.

To our valued guests. Pricing for 2022 has increased due to the cost of water (delivered by truck). We offer a 10% discount for 3+ nights and 20% discount for weekly stays. Additionally, we are adding 1 day “padding” between guests. Feel free to ask about adding a day before or after and we will see if we can accommodate.

Our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay from your morning cup of coffee to curling up on the luxurious Saatva mattress while watching the waves crash all while being surrounded by the magnificent view.
Built in the 70’s by a master mason and fabricator, the recently updated space has a rustic cabin feel with all the modern amenities including high speed internet. The open concept living room and kitchen features a striking stone fireplace (gas), dinning table for 6 and Smart TV. The master bedroom features a wood burning fireplace (working), king size bed and private bath with shower. The second bedroom features a queen size bed and futon-like full size pull-out. All bedrooms have direct access to the expansive deck with 180 degree view or pull the curtains if you want to sleep in! The main bathroom has a bathtub. Two additional jr. twin fold out mattresses and a pack n' play with mattress are available for your use. We also have kids books, loads of games, puzzles and some kids toys including beach stuff.
The kitchen is simple with gas burning stove, essential appliances and everything you need to cook a nice meal. Or, pick from several close restaurants from our guest book for a lovely meal out.
This secluded property is shared with a guest house that sits about 100 feet below. The shared area includes a lower deck with 7 person hot tub and fire pit area. You will have the main house to yourself and everyone respects quiet hours after 10pm.
There is a 1/4 mile trail to the beach but the last 15 feet is over steep rock so we don't recommend it unless you are very agile. For easier beach access, drive 5 minutes to the Navarro State Park beach (other side of the river) or any beach north including the famous Glass Beach in Fort Bragg.
There is plenty of hiking including the Navarro Point Preserve and Coastal Trail within a 5 minute drive. Take a hike, then soak in the hot tub and get cozy roasting marshmallows next to the fire. Oh, and don't forget to breath in that fresh ocean air and enjoy that view. This is the place to escape the city or take a retreat from the heat inland. The sound of waves (and seals!) amplify off the beach so you may just want to relax, listen and watch for whales. Our only hope is that you create memories with friends and family in this magical place.
