NEIGHBORHOOD: GREENWHICH/EAST VILLAGE / bordering Union Square & walking distance to the Bowery art district, SoHo and the Lower East Side.
There are tons of great restaurants, bars, boutiques and art galleries on your doorstep. You can get anywhere from this studio, it's literally in the heart of Manhattan!
The apartment is centrally located next to Union Square subway station, where you can take the N Q R trains, 4 5 6 trains, or the L train. You can get anywhere in NYC from this one train station.
Take the N to Queens to Astoria where you will find the largest Greek population outside of Athens!!
The Q will take you to downtown Brooklyn where you can catch the Brooklyn Nets play at the new Barclay's Stadium!!
4 or the 5 train will take you to Wall St. in the Financial District, where you can take the Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty, visit the Stock Exchange, visit the historical Trinity Church, and the Freedom Tower.
L train is two stops away from Williamsburg, Brooklyn/Bushwick- possibly the hippest neighborhoods in the world and home to artists and musicians. Tons of street art to see, great bars and restaurants, and most of all, interesting and creative people. Enjoy the laid back vibe of Brooklyn, and jump back on the L train back home in a second!
Other Things to Note
I manage this apartment and will do everything I can to make your stay a wonderful time!
Please be respectful of the space and neighbors
Stayed for 4 nights and the studio apartment was perfect (building is really on the quiet side). The apartment was spotlessly clean. It was easy to pick up the key from City Pilot. Maggie was always available to answer questions. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful apartment in East Village, everything was perfect. The neighborhood is so nice to stay, the building súper quiet with very friendly and respectful neighbours. Margaret and Andrea are always available and keys delivery was in person. Full recommended experience!
Great place to stay, so close to interesting sites and convenient for subway.
Great time in this studio clean and quiet. The location is great, perfect for a couple to discover NY. I strongly recommend it!
The place was quite good, the location is very accessible by all means of transport and the apartment is beautiful, everything was super clean and the place felt very cozy. I regret to say that the internet connection was terrible. It's a shared connection between many apartments as a network inspection proved, this is both insecure and performance is very bad during peak hours. The TV was unusable as well, signal was very poor. Don't get me wrong, I don't travel to NYC to stay watching TV or surfing the web but I'm more productive at nights and it was impossible to work or stream video with this connection.
Check in experience wasn't the most pleasant: I arrived early in the morning to the city and I was directed to a business that hands keys to Airbnb apartments and offers a locker service for a fee, I found it quite inconvenient having to drop my bags until checkin time and then having to take a cab to the place, unlike other reviewers, I didn't interact with anybody.
Daniel is a nice guy and was respectful of my apartment. He did however arrive on a Sunday morning at 6:30am. I spend every Sunday with my family so I went out of my way to pay for a service to exchange keys and I even paid for his luggage storage. I've never had a guest arrive so early on a Sunday morning, but I did my best to accommodate him... clearly he doesn't seem to appreciate that. Regarding the Internet, my building provides free secure WiFi that is appropriate for surfing the Web and checking email. I have a nice TV with basic cable channels. It's disappointing as a Host when a guest is so unappreciative of the lengths we go through to make the stay enjoyable. I spend quite a lot on a professional cleaning service, excellent kitchen supplies and clean bed lines and towels, all of which Daniel didn't appreciate. Disappointing.
Location was just as the pictures portrayed. Location has very easy access to subway lines, restaurants, and shopping. Margaret met us and walked us through the unit and was friendly. I would recommend to anyone who wants the true New York experience.
Had a really great stay and Maggie was super helpful! I would definitely stay here again. The space was really great!

I'm a California girl who had a love affair with New York City since freshman year at Columbia University (over a decade!) - Besides a quick stint in London - NYC especially the LES - has always been home. I love meeting new people and introducing travelers to everything NYC has to offer!
