About this listing
Lovely room within a small but perfectly formed house.
The house is one of the original terraced houses in the village, so need to drive to dinner and within walking distance of Powerscourt House. Full of character and charm it has been recently modernised with an eclectic interior so it's the best of both worlds!
1 Double Bedroom
Shared bathroom which has a shower, washbasin and toilet (sheets and towels provided)
You are welcome to use the large modern kitchen, living room and private garden to the rear of the house.
I live here with my slightly mad but lovely Jack-Russell dog who is delighted to keep anyone company.
Interaction with Guests
Happy to advise on local places to eat and visit. Can also suggest walking routes and arrange horse riding upon request. I work full time and have a busy animal schedule so I'm out of the house frequently.
Enniskerry is a known as the Gateway to Wicklow, with the Powerscourt Waterfalls and Wicklow mountains nearby. It offers great walking routes and is very popular with cyclists and horse riders. The village is well catered for with quaint coffee shops pubs, antique and art shops.
In addition to the forests and mountains there are many tourist attractions in the surrounding areas such as Glendalough and the coastal towns of County Wicklow.
There is free on street parking in the village and easy access to Dublin via the M50 or no 44 bus. Perfect location to walk to the pubs and coffee shops or for hikers or cyclists wishing to access the Wicklow way and other routes.
No smoking in the house.
The village is quiet and peaceful and the neighbours expect it to remain so.
Ashlene was brilliant and the room was lovely too in a really nice village. The shared bathroom was perfectly fine and the kitchen was great to make food ourselves. Really enjoyed our stay and we were able to go horse riding with Ashlene's friend which was fab! Love it! Highly recommend.
I stayed in the accommodation for 1 night and had let host know would be leaving early. The shower was cold and no breakfast was provided. Apparently water heats after 7.30 only, don't think this is good enough for B&B accommodation and for the price charged. Guests should at least be informed, 7.30 is pretty late in the morning to be able to have a shower. Would have thought would have been offered something to eat in the morning as the site says it's B&B accommodation. Disappointed with the experience, wouldn't use airbnb again is over priced for what you get. Will use regular B&B next time.
Ashlene could not been a better host. Waiting to go to work to hand me the keys and being nice about it when I was delayed by an hour or so.
The apartment is in a great location and beautifully furnished (modern) inside. The room has a lovely comfortable bed and there is a dongle there for wi-fi.
I also want to apologise to her for (surely) waking her up on my way back late from a friends wedding.
Ashlene was the perfect host, and although I stayed just the one night I got a great night's sleep. Ashlene has a lovely home and made me feel at ease from the moment I arrived.
Very comfy bed in a pretty and unique cottage. Great position in Enniskerry - we were staying for a wedding at a nearby venue. Close to the local shops and cafes.
Ashlene was very kind and accommodating. Her lovely home in Enniskerry was the perfect place for me to escape the city for a weekend to write. The room is clean and comfortable and very nicely decorated. I was very pleased with the nearby restaurants and cafes as well! Ashlene was very communicative and made everything very easy.
