Interaction with Guests
Whenever guests arrive in town, we do our best to pick them up at the train or bus station.
If asked, we could also reserve a seat with the transportation service Airservice going from/to Padua to the airport of Venice/Treviso.
We encourage you to discover Padova and the smallest resorts nearby using the bikes like we do.
Our town has many bicycle paths and all-aged riders. It is the quickest way to reach any point of the town… is safe, free and keeps you fit.
If you are a more serious rider, with your own bike, we could keep it in the garage. If, unluckily!, you need to repair it, we could also send you to our neighbour, the greatest bicycle repairer of the world!
Our apartment is at the sixth floor of a 70's eight-floor building set in a quiet complex viewing the Cathedral of Padua (Duomo di Padova).
There are 2 elevators.
The building stands in the middle of a quiet road without traffic apart that caused by people parking in front of their houses or going to the swimming pool.
‘Palestro' neighborhood is a popular and safe area just outside the ancient gates, a 15 minutes fine walk to the historical heart of Padua (see the itinerary through pictures).
It is particularly lively as the presence of different shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, 1 art gallery and 1 covert swimming pool would prove.
There are: 1 supermarket, food stores, newsagents, tobacconists, wine shop, hairdressers, travel agency, etc., a variety of pizzerias and restaurants and 2 of the most popular bars in town: Da Barabba and Cafè Tinto.
Moreover, in the area there are all necessary services (1 bank with bank machine, pharmacy, swimming pool, gym, etc.).
To reach the centre of the town you could go:
**walking (10 minutes to the Cathedral of Padova, 15 minutes to Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza della Frutta, etc.)
**biking (10 minutes to all central sites)
Bus 9 stops/starts exactly at 3 minutes walking from our apartment and stops in the historical centre, train/bus station.
Bus 5, 6 (the stops are along Via Volturno), Bus 10 (the stops are along Via Vicenza), stop in the historical centre, train/bus station.
Almost every 30 minutes there is a train going to Venice (20 minutes reach), Verona, Vicenza, Ferrara, etc.
So, keep in mind! You could get a bus+train and be in Venice in 40 minutes.
In alternative you could take a bus from Padua bus station (close to the train station) and get to Venice (Piazzale Roma) passing through the Riviera del Brenta (Brenta Canal) studded by the beautiful ancient Venetian villas.
We will give you 1 bunch of keys including home and entrance key.
We trust you won't loose them but, should it happen, we will be forced to ask you a refund
In the garage there are 2 bicycles waiting for you!
Use them to explore the town or to ride them till the Euganean Hills in a pleasant day but, please, do not forget to lock them always!
Should they be stolen, we would be forced to ask you a refund
Finally, the strongest of our rules is... consider our home your ‘casa italiana'!
That is, feel free to ask us information upon:
other destinations than Padua
train/bus/museums/thermal baths timetables, etc.
books/guidebooks/films on Padua and Veneto region
exhibitions going on
concerts and theatres
‘trattorie' and restaurants, bars and Italian wine, food
We will be happy to help you!
