@Italian/world-style breakfast
Enrico loves cooking… Laura doesn't.
Enrico's breakfasts - sweet & savoury – are becoming a legend! His vegetarian savory pies and toasted breads with fresh small tomatoes, in particular, will make you happy all day!
Breakfast will be served in the dining-room and in the 'terrazzo' viewing the Cathedral of Padua (Duomo di Padova) during the nice season (see 1st picture).
@2 city bikes
The bikes have both working lights, baskets and locks.
We encourage you to discover Padova and the smallest resorts nearby using them. Our town has many bicycle paths and all-aged riders.
It is the quickest way to reach any point of the town… is safe, free and keeps you fit.
If you are a more serious rider, with your own bike, we could keep it in the garage. If, unluckily!, you need to repair it, we could also send you to our neighbour, the greatest bicycle repairer of the world!
@Free parking
There is free parking in the building parking lot (you could see your car from the bedroom window).
@Free Internet WIFI
We *WILL NOT BE ABLE* to offer you -
AC (but there's a brand new CEILING FAN)
use of the kitchen
cable tv
If your dog is small and used to stay in apartment, will be welcomed too.

Our apartment is at the sixth floor of a 70’s eight-floor building set in a quiet complex viewing the Cathedral of Padua (Duomo di Padova).
There are 2 elevators.
The building stands in the middle of a quiet road without traffic apart that caused by people parking in front of their houses or going to the swimming pool.
@The neighborhood
‘Palestro’ neighborhood is a popular and safe area just outside the ancient gates, a 10 minutes fine walk to the historical heart of Padua.
It is particularly lively as the presence of different shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, 1 art gallery and 1 covert swimming pool would prove.
There are: 1 supermarket, food stores, newsagents, tobacconists, wine shop, hairdressers, travel agency, etc., a variety of pizzerias and restaurants and 2 of the most popular bars in town: Da Barabba and Cafè Tinto.
Moreover, in the area there are all necessary services (1 bank with bank machine, pharmacy, swimming pool, gym, etc.).
Whenever guests arrive in town, we do our best to pick them up at the train or bus station.
If asked, we could also reserve a seat with the transportation service Airservice going from/to Padua to the airport of Venice/Treviso.
To reach the centre of the town you could go:
**walking (10 minutes to the Cathedral of Padova, 15 minutes to Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza della Frutta, etc.)
**biking (10 minutes to all central sites)
**by bus
@Bus 9 stops/starts exactly at 3 minutes walking from our apartment and stops in the historical centre, train/bus station.
@Bus 5, 6 (the stops are along Via Volturno), bus 10 (the stops are along Via Vicenza), stop in the historical centre, train/bus station.
Almost every 30 minutes there is a train going to Venice (20 minutes reach), Verona, Vicenza, Ferrara, etc.
So, keep in mind! You could get a bus+train and be in Venice in 40 minutes.
In alternative you could take a bus from Padua bus station (close to the train station) and get to Venice (Piazzale Roma) passing through the Riviera del Brenta (Brenta Canal) studded by the beautiful ancient Venetian villas.

  • We stayed in Padova (Padua) for two nights in an attempt to avoid cost and hassle of staying in Venice while still exploring the country-side. We believe it was a really great decision and we loved both Padova and the surrounding areas we were able to see.
    Enrico and Laura are such lovely people. They are amazing hosts and Enrico's breakfasts are superb. Their place is in a quiet street not far from multiple buses to the train station and only a very short walk/bike ride to the centre of Padova. So good!
    The room was immaculate, correspondence amazing and they even took us to and sat with us in the emergency department checking out a wound in Leah's foot sustained a few days earlier. Like I said, amazing hosts. Highly recommend staying here if you are wanting somewhere to explore both Venice and the Venetian countyside.

    It was a pleasure. Hosting someone in your house is taking care of him/her not simply offering a place to sleep and eat, we believe that... but we will keep in mind the Australian invite :))

    Consigliato in tutto.

  • My parents stayed at Laura and Enrico's. They have had a really good stay! I had the chance to meet them, they are really nice and welcoming hosts. They also provide you all the informations (and advice) you need to visit Padua and its surroundings. I hightly recommend them! Thank you again.

  • After almost 16 days of staying in hotels during our Marian pilgrimage, our stay with Enrico and Laura in their Padova home was most welcome. They made sure we were comfortable and assisted in guiding us so that we can visit the places we wanted to see in Padova. Their beautiful home was warm and welcoming; breakfast prepared by Enrico was sumptuous. They made us feel like we were in our homes too. If we would have the opportunity to go back to Padova, we will surely stay with Enrico and Laura again.

  • Me and my boyfriend stayed at Enrico and Laura's place for three nights. They are the perfect hosts: extremely welcoming and friendly, always ready to give you whatever information or help you need. The room as well as the bathroom are very tastefully decorated and perfectly clean. But the best part was their absolutely delicious breakfast, served on the balcony. Simply amazing!

  • Laura and Enrico have a beautiful apartment with lovely furnishings and appurtenances. Our (private) bedroom and bathroom in their apartment were very comfortable, and it is clear that they have taken great care in selecting and arranging the contents of their home. The location is good (a nice walk as well as bus access to the center of Padova). They served delicious and plentiful breakfasts (with homemade baked goods by Enrico!) on the balcony or in the living room, depending on weather. Laura and Enrico made themselves extremely available to us, with car rides, restaurant dinners, telephone and other assistance, and hours of fascinating conversation together. (We were fortunate in this regard as their schedules were flexible at the time we visited. Nonetheless, they were extremely generous and giving, with superb warmth and hospitality.) They are very interesting people, we learned a lot from them, and it was a pleasure to spend time together. We wholeheartedly recommend this b&b.

    Thank you so much Larry and Ann!
    As often happens with Airbnb guests you made us discover new things of our own town. This time was a very good vegetarian restaurant, that we would not have tried if it wasn't for you...

  • What a nice time we had in Padua! Laura en Enrico are very nice and friendly, helpful people. We had a very nice breakfast and a clean and cosy room. Padua is a beautiful city, a lot of terasses at the big squares, just as beautiful as Venezia but different ofcourse. You can walk easily to the center of Padua, it's only a ten minutes walk. We highly recommend this place and Enrico and Laura!

  • It is hard to put into words how enjoyable our stay was with Laura and Enrico. Not only did they make us feel very comfortable in their home, but the chats over breakfast were delightful. Thanks to Laura's language skills, and her patience, we managed to over a wide range of interesting topics. Enrico never failed to provide a delicious breakfast and, when time permitted, the four of us swapped travel stories. Laura and Enrico are two special people, and we felt a great warmth toward them. As for the accommodation, it could not be faulted.

Enrico & Laura…we like travelling, good eating and drinking. These are all our greatest passions and they do not follow a particular order. We love walking and discovering new itineraries not only on the other side of the world, but also, first of all, at home. Enrico --- I am a sort of 'natural' traveller. I observe and let the others observe me and simply let events flow... they never disappoint me. I prefer listening rather than talking... definitely it costs me less work :)) While travelling I always carry with me: a yellow t-shirt I bought in Mexico 2 locks for our backpacks Traveller who will come to my house you will find: tidiness easy ways practical help knowledge of the territory calmness Laura --- I am a thoughtful and voracious traveller at the same time. I read all, I surf the Internet, I collect info from any source. I make lists (only for the pleasure of deleting their items :)) and wear a sort of 'travelling uniform' that includes always: a ring my sister gave me as a gift and a sandal necklace, the first thing I brought back from Asia. My favourite mistake is: carrying too many books with me (I have this anxious feeling I would run out of them ... which never happens :( Thing I am proud of: I try to learn any language (or a few words at least) as I think it is the best way to communicate interest and care for places and people I am visiting. Traveller who will come to my house you will find: cleanliness organization help knowledge of the territory enthusiasm We both speak Spanish; Laura speaks fluently English as well.
