Shana made me feel very welcome. The room was exactly as pictured and I loved the neighbourhood, though it was quite noisy on a Saturday night. The house is older than it looks in the photos, but it is very comfortable and nicely reno'ed. Very creaky stairs, though, if you are trying to sneak in late at night! It was hot on the second floor, but Shana provided a fan. This is a corner room with two windows, so there was great circulation, and I slept well in the comfy bed. I enjoyed sitting on the deck with my morning coffee (I was happy that I had brought my own coffee and my one cup drip, as she had only instant). It was lovely that Shana provided breakfast basics - coffee, tea, cereal, cream and fruit. I loved strolling 6th Avenue, two blocks away, where I found a fun pub, The Red Hot, and a great restaurant, Primo.
Great house, great host, great neighborhood. Extremely warm and comfortable accomodations. Would stay here again. The wood floors are amazing and you don't mind the rule that you have to take off your shoes when coming in the house because you'll wanna walk in your socks anyways.
The description is accurate, you get the essentials (comfortable bed, toilet, and shower) and it's clean. No frills, but somewhat expected for the price. The house itself is very quiet, so if you want to be awake and talking at 10pm this doesn't seem like the appropriate place to stay. No A/C so it's necessary to keep the windows open at night in order to cool down the room, you need to be OK with some street noise and music/chatter late at night during weekends from neighbors. Very limited interaction with Shana, but she was professional and responsive in communications.
Due to our brief time at the property we didn't see much of Shana, but she was very prompt and professional in all communication and we felt very welcome. The room and the house were clean and the bed was comfortable. There was even a fan in the closet, which we appreciated.
Shana was an excellent and very gracious host. The house and my room were very comfortable and immaculate, in excellent condition and with very nice furnishings. The location was perfect for my needs, and access was very easy. I would recommend this BnB to everyone! If there was a 6 star rating available, this property would deserve it!

About the Host, Shana
I'm new to the Tacoma area. I purchased the Pink House as a remodeling project with the idea of sharing the space with other. Airbnb has allowed me to travel, live light, and to meet interesting people, as well as to grow as an individual.
