Really enjoyed my stay in Tacoma. Shana is a gracious hostess, the house is immaculate and so well organized. She has a system and it works well. The rules are clearly spelled out, my bed in the blue room was so comfy and the cereal breakfast bar is a nice bonus. Enjoyed chatting with Shana and getting to know her as well as sharing my experiences with her. Would absolutely stay again next time I'm in town!
Having the 253 (Tacoma) as my hometown makes returning to the city very easy. All I need is a place to rest my head and very little else.
That being said, I've returned to Tacoma several times using AirBnB and by far Shana's home has been the best as far as comfort and ease of getting around. It helps that the home is located in my old stomping ground (in fact growing up I used to walk by this very house almost everyday). If you've never been to Tacoma start here. Walking distance to 6th Ave (stop by the Old Milwaukee for breakfast and BlueBeard for great coffee), short driving to all the neighborhoods (Ruston Way, Pt Defiance, downtown, Proctor) and super easy access to highways if heading to Seattle.
Rooms at Shana's are bright, very clean and the bed in the Blue Room is super comfy!
We lucked out even with the comings and goings of other AirBnB(ers) and rarely had to wait for the shared bathroom.
Definitely a place I'll be bookmarking for future stays.
Shauna was extremely difficult to get ahold of through email and the phone number did not connect.
The booking was difficult and misleading. She took my extremely hard earned money and would not return it. (once there was finally communication)
We will never know how the room served it's purpose.
My respond rate to inquiries and reservation requests within 24 hours is 100% which exceeds Airbnb's standard of 90%. (see my profile). Cancelations are initiated by guests using Airbnb's website, not through communicating with host. When I asked if Julie received an email confirmation from Airbnb in regards to her cancelation she never returned my email. I suspect that she did not, confirming that this was an unfortunate guest error.
The bed is comfy and big, and the neighborhood is quiet. I had a great time here.
I enjoyed my stay greatly. The be was really comfortable and the room was nice and welcoming. It was a quiet and peaceful stay for me, which is exactly what I needed. Shana was wonderful and very accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone.

About the Host, Shana
I'm new to the Tacoma area. I purchased the Pink House as a remodeling project with the idea of sharing the space with other. Airbnb has allowed me to travel, live light, and to meet interesting people, as well as to grow as an individual.
