A very nice first floor apartment in the heart of Renaissance Florence, in a historical palace in Via Ghibellina.
The apartment is close to all the main tourist attractions. It is two blocks away from Michelangelo’s house, a five minute walk to Santa Croce, a fifteen minute walk to the Duomo and Piazza Signoria.
The house is in one of the best areas of Florence for the arts but also for its typically Florentine neighborhood. Santa Croce is colorful, lively, full of antique and artisan shops, great restaurants and pizzerias.
A few steps from the house there is the Sant’Ambrogio market where you will find the freshest food in town, which you can take back to your home to create a wonderful Tuscan meal.
The apartment is very silent. It is situated in the interior courtyard of a historical building, so when you are home you are away from all the noise of the city. Recently renovated, the space is well furnished and can accommodate up to four people.
The kitchen is fully equipped with: Gas cooker, electric oven, refrigerator, toaster, kettle, Italian coffee-maker.
The apartment also includes: Intercom, washing machine, hairdryer, clothes iron, bed linens and towels, TV 32”, WI-FI internet connection.

Sandro and Susanna were extremely gracious! The apartment was lovely, in a great location for walking to the sights, restaurants, and amenities in Florence. Our hosts left a bottle of wine and my favorite Italian cookies so far on our trip :) S&S provided a cell phone, and their own personal recommendations. We miss Florence already.
The location of this apartment is fantastic...near St. Croce and within walking distance of almost all the sights/museums you want to visit in Florence.
Susanna and Sandro have a nice welcome basket waiting for you that includes a bottle of wine and cookies. They have a phone for your use while you are staying there, so you can call them if there is a question (we never needed to call). The phone has the number for the taxi service programmed in, so you can get a taxi when you need one.
The apartment is lovely, comfortable and quiet. We loved staying here and would do so again, the next time we are in Florence. Thank you Susanna and Sandro!
Susanna met us allotted time and showed us around the apartment. The first thing I noticed was how clean the kitchen and sanitary ware was, a good start. The apartment has all that you would require for your stay as well as some additional touches in the kitchen if you want to do a bit of cooking. The location is great, quiet neighbour hood but walking distance to centre. After we check out, one of our party realised she didn't have her passport. Susanna met her back at the apartment and couldn't have been more patient or nicer writing out a statement in Italian she could take to the police station to report it missing when it hadn't turned up. We are very grateful to Susanna for all she did for us.

The apartment was wonderful and in a great part of Florence in the Santa Croce area. It was spacious and met all our traveling needs. Sandro was wonderful host who provided us with information about the area such as restaurants and sites near the apartment. He let us drop off our luggage early so we could start our visit to Florence and he also made arrangements for us to be picked up at the end of our visit for our trip to the airport. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you, Sandro!
Very nice apartment and equipped kitchen lacking only a microwave. Sandro very helpful. Good location. We walked most places, but a bus goes down the street and is free if you get the Firenza pass. Dino restaurant just across the street has reasonably priced food and a good wine selection.
Great apt in a neighborhood with local flavor and several blocks from the Arno and St. Croce. There's a friendly and skilled Barista on the corner. There's a Bakery at the end of the street and a Farmicia around the corner. Large Market several blocks away- in short, perfect location. The apt itself exceeded expectations- was simply lovely and faced inner courtyard so quiet. Could not hear outside noises just occasional and usual noises from other tenants but dead silent at night. Would highly recommend and plan to stay the next time we travel to Firenze. Susanna left us with maps and recommendations. Wonderful host! I found the purse of my dreams at Roberta's!
