A very nice first floor apartment in the heart of Renaissance Florence, in a historical palace in Via Ghibellina.
The apartment is close to all the main tourist attractions. It is two blocks away from Michelangelo’s house, a five minute walk to Santa Croce, a fifteen minute walk to the Duomo and Piazza Signoria.
The house is in one of the best areas of Florence for the arts but also for its typically Florentine neighborhood. Santa Croce is colorful, lively, full of antique and artisan shops, great restaurants and pizzerias.
A few steps from the house there is the Sant’Ambrogio market where you will find the freshest food in town, which you can take back to your home to create a wonderful Tuscan meal.
The apartment is very silent. It is situated in the interior courtyard of a historical building, so when you are home you are away from all the noise of the city. Recently renovated, the space is well furnished and can accommodate up to four people.
The kitchen is fully equipped with: Gas cooker, electric oven, refrigerator, toaster, kettle, Italian coffee-maker.
The apartment also includes: Intercom, washing machine, hairdryer, clothes iron, bed linens and towels, TV 32”, WI-FI internet connection.
Air conditioning only in the bedrooms.

Sandro and Susanna were great hosts and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The flat was in a perfect location, just to the east of the main city, well within walking distance to the main attractions. The flat was as promised in the photos; clean, tidy and surprisingly spacious; located overlooking a private courtyard (very quiet).
Sandro was there to welcome us when we arrived and recommended a number of local restaurants, as well as giving us a mobile phone to use if we had any issues etc. He also helped us acquire tickets for the Fiorentina v Lazio game, which was very much appreciated!
The WIFI signal was great and the kitchen had all the usual mod cons. All in all, would definitely recommend staying in Sandro and Susanna's flat.
Lovely quiet place to stay and very central to all the major areas. All main and good facilities in the flat. Good advice as to where to eat and shop. We loved the market nearby for wonderful food. The Piazza Santa Croce particularly became our haunt for coffee and just admiring Florence.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandro and Susanna's apartment. Brilliant position in quiet street, close to wonderful markets. Apartment was clean and well equipped. Sandro was very helpful and even left us a phone for local and emergency calls. Easy walks to all major sites. We already miss Florence and will recommend this to our friends.
We stayed in Susanna and Sandro's lovely apartment for three nights with our seven year old daughter. It was absolutely perfect. The apartment is perfectly clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance to all attractions. We went to the local market and prepared a great dinner in the kitchen. It was equipped with everything you could need. Susanna and Sandro are so nice and helpful. The information they gave us made our trip a great success. Many thanks to them for sharing their apartment with us.
I'm a student studying in Florence for the year and my parents needed a place to stay for the week they visited during winter holiday. This place was perfect! It was fully equipped and looked just like the picture. The main concern for my family and I was cleanliness...and this place deserves the 5 stars for that. Sandro checked us in and helped us with our bags. He answered his phone with any of our questions and even checked in with us halfway through the week. Overall, a great place with a great location.
Susanna even told me to contact her if I ever need anything for the remainder of my year in Florence.
We stayed in our apartment for 8 nights in November. The apartment was perfect for us - a family of four visiting our daughter who was studying at Syracuse Univ campus in Florence (she was living with a family for the semester near her school). It was a ten minute walk to where she was living. The apartment was clean, neat, comfortable, safe and quiet (it faced two inner courtyards and was not overlooking the street). It was very close to Santa Croce church. There were delightful restaurants nearby (especially enjoyed Dino Restaurant across the street). It was a 15 minute walk to the Duomo and a 10 minute walk to the Uffici. We never used the kitchen but it had all the appliances one would need if they were planning on cooking. Sandro met us on the day we moved in and he showed us how to use everything in the apartment. He also gave us a cell phone to use either to contact him (we never needed to) or to make local calls. He also provided a list of important phone numbers (i.e., taxi) and local restaurant recommendations. We had a wonderful time.
Susanna and Sandro's apartment was perfect. He met us at the apartment with a welcome gift which was great. He also carrried our bags up the stairs which was very helpful. Susanna met us on our departure and also helped carry our bags. They provided us with a cell phone while we were there and quickly responded to a number of questions which arrose. The apartment gave us plenty of room. It was clean and became a home away from home during our two weeks in Forence. We couldn't have been happier.
Thanks again Susanna and Sandro for a wonderful visit.

This is a lovely place in a great location - easy walking distance (ten minutes) to all the major attractions but nice and quiet. The patio area is downstairs from the apartment, which is on the first floor. The apartment is in an historic convent building but has been recently updated, everything works well and is very comfortable. Sandro was extremely obliging and helpful. We ran into him and his wife Susanna in their leather goods shop called Roberta in the Oltrano as we happened to be buying some gloves - also highly recommended!
Thank you Sandro + Susanna for a perfect stay in your lovely apartment in Florence. Our group of four were very comfortable in your large apartment with an open garden area. All the major tourist attractions are within 20 minutes or less walking distance and that was a great advantage. Thank you Sandro for your kindness, consideration and scheduling flexibility, it was greatly appreciated. Thank you for making our stay in Florence a memorable experience!
