From the moment you enter, you will discover your own private tropical wonderland. A Bali-like experience, except with more trees and flowering bushes than in Bali!! Ocean view in front as you enter. Views of forest everywhere. No sounds. Privacy.

The space

Tropical balinese style house on 2.5 acres. Separate main house with two casitas for sleeping privacy. Big pool. Ocean and Costa Rican views. 10 minutes to the heart of san Juan del Sur. Complete privacy from people, noise (except monkeys and birds), 650 foot altitude gives it fresh cooler air, tranquility is the key word. 4 hammocks, huge outdoor patio to relax, drink a beer and gaze at endless hills and the pacific ocean. Internet, TV for DVD's, all amenities you need, fans everywhere, nature walks everywhere, security and cleaning help, 25 foot ceiling in main house, Hermosa Beach - best in area for surfing or swimming or working on your tan (with spf 50) - is 1 km away, restaurants and entertainment abound in San Juan yet 10 minutes later you are in Nirvanah (not the group) and lay back and view the Milky Way. A two story ranch offers another spot for peaceful reading, day or night, just don't fall asleep in the hammocks. Full kitchen, hot water showers! Hallejulah! 3 guinea hens to amuse you, 2 awesome pooches to play with or fake acting as guard dogs, best horseback riding in country is 2 miles away with Rancho Chilamate rides on beach, sunset and more. Will sleep a few more, just no HUGE parties (my dogs tell me everything). Modern everything, house is 3 years old, New Paved road right to house. What more can I say? In 4 months it has received rave reviews - so have I - you will love love love it here, no kidding. It says to say if I am a great host? I usually live close by or have the top people available to help out if needed for any reason. I will be willing to eat with you - you cook on the gas BBQ, drink with you or go out to dinner with you. What a host, who else will do that? Or you can enjoy the peace and quiet and adventure you cam for. Questions? Please email me and i'll be glad to help - and tell you how I ended up here after 25 years in San Francisco.

House Rules

Simple - enjoy the house and everything it offers and treat it as if it were your own. Please do not take any living room furniture outside, especially by the pool. Use plastic glasses if possible when outdoors. Since the house is all solar - meaning NO power interruptions - like they have daily in San Juan, please be sure to turn out all lights, fans, etc when you leave the room or bathroom. Turn off coffeemaker when you are through.

The house comes equipped with two loving dogs. They are allowed in the house or bedrooms, the choice is up to you. They are sweet and not dangerous and enjoy a scratch or any table leftovers, including all chicken bones, yes ALL. No problems here with choking on bones, etc. There are also 3 guinea hens who walk around and are amusing and helpful as they love ticks and other insects. They just putt-putt around so enjoy them. They are not a meal!

That's all I can think of now. Ask me if you have any special requests. Thanks
