As little or as much as they like. I enjoy meeting new people and love to advise newcomers to Bangladesh on the ins and outs.
Very clean for Bangladesh and extremely safe.

Please no smokers. Even if you smoke outside I can still smell it.
Shoes off in the house.
Stephen's home is very quiet, pleasant and well situated in the quiet Baridhara area of Dhaka. I was very well looked after by Biji, Stephen's housekeeper who made breakfast and a really delicious Dhal. In fact she could not have made me feel more welcome. A very nice stay, thank you.
Grateful for Stephen's accommodating multiple extensions due to my unpredictable schedule in Dhaka. Many thanks again to Bigi, housekeeper and cook extraordinaire for such an enjoyable stay!
My first time in this amazing part of the world and landed softly at Stephen's wonderfully cozy apartment with views of trees across the road. So, I had a welcoming place to retreat in the middle of the Dhaka energy for regular recharging.
Staying at Stephen's place was an indispensable part of the Dhaka experience for me. Not only was his house spotless and comfortable, it's located on the quieter side of the city and offers a much needed respite from the bustling chaos that constitutes most of Dhaka. But the place wasn't even the best part. Stephen's introduction to the country during my five-day stay left a lasting impression. He was a great host.
I had ten days to spend in Dhaka and cannot imagine staying anywhere nicer than Stephen's apartment. Just 20 mins by CNG from the airport and 25 mins walk from Gulshan 2 (or less by cycle rickshaw). The fabulous Bigi (cook/housekeeper) made me most welcome in Stephen's absence and cooked, cleaned and did laundry. Food was easy to get from a good supermarket just 100 metres away. The neighbourhood is quiet and green and there is a good footpath round a nearby lake for recreation and exercise.
Stephens flat was amazing. Very comfortable and a great location near the airport. The housekeeper was very welcoming. Thanks for allowing our changes after the cancelled flight, it's a shame we didn't meet you Stephen.
