Where you’ll be

Emly, County Tipperary, Ireland

The Rock of Cashel, also known as Cashel of the Kings and St. Patrick's Rock, is a historic site located at Cashel, County Tipperary is a mere 25 minutes drive away.
Mitchelstown Cave is a limestone cave near Burncourt, County Tipperary. There is a lake deep in Mitchelstown Cave in a part not open to the public. Local folklore has it that whoever crosses the lake will never return. The story goes that a piper once crossed the lake and he became so engrossed in his music and the natural acoustics of the cave that he got lost in the maze of passageways. To this day some visitors still imagine they hear music coming from distant caverns. It is an exciting way to pass a few hours and is also a 30 minute drive away.

Why not explore Ireland’s greatest inland mountain range. The Galtee mountains stretch over 20km from Mitchelstown to Cahir and offer a myriad of hiking options with fantastic views. Only 10 miles away for those looking for outside adventure.

Limerick Junction Rail station is 15 minute drive with a 2 hour train journey to Dublin. Limerick City is 20 miles from the Bungalow.

Tipperary town and Tipperary horse Race course are within close proximity for those who fancy a flutter.
