  • Jan and Geoff's place is a hidden gem. It's in a beautiful location, off of the beaten track. The road to get there is a bit rough, but it's well worth it! The apartment is huge, the photos don't do it justice, and it was a bit wasted on the two of us! It's a fantastic apartment too, really well decorated and furnished, with everything you'd ever need. The pool is heated too!

We had a glass of wine with Jan and Geoff, they gave us great recommendations on where to go for dinner and were fantastic hosts - wish we could have stayed longer!

  • (email hidden), we would rate it 10 out of 5 stars. Jan and Geoff are just lovely hosts. The apartment is very clean and well organized and even better than the photos suggest. The location is perfect, we went bathing in the adria, wandering through the snow in the mountains and cycling the wonderful hills around Atri. Really a hidden gem.

  • Accommodation was a little difficult to find at first due to it being tucked away down a rather scary-looking gravel driveway. Luckily we had (website hidden)d it prior and knew what we were looking for or we may not have ventured down it at all. A sign at the top might be helpful. The accommodation (Arches) was a spacious self contained flat with 2 bedrooms, ample bathroom and all the facilities for a comfortable, self-catered stay. The home was located a little way from town in a picturesque valley surrounded by olive trees and vines and the views were spectacular. Jan and Geoff were lovely people who welcomed us warmly and provided us with staples for breakfast the next morning. They were happy to help with information and directions and whilst friendly and accommodating, they were not intrusive in any way. It was lovely to have drinks and a chat by the pool with them in the afternoon. Would love to have stayed longer and would definitely recommend!

  • In our 5 weeks of travel, this was our family's favorite place! Jan and Geoff were fun, friendly and helpful. The apartment was very modern and comfortable. The setting is amazing - rolling hills, vineyards, olive trees and beautiful villages in the distance. The small pool and wifi were much appreciated by our daughters. The nearby beach in Pineto is not to be missed nor the quiet and beautiful village of Atri. We will absolutely return to this wonderful respite frome the busy holiday crowds!

  • Jan and Geoff are wonderful people and extremely welcoming hosts. They welcomed us with a lovely dinner and made us feel like home.
The place is fantastic. It has gorgeous views and the weather is great. It's not too far from the main highway and is very close to the local supermarkets, beaches and national parks.
Inside the house you will find everything you need for short or long stay. They even bought some groceries for our breakfast.
I would definitely recommend this place for anyone and can't wait to come back myself!
    Thank you Jan and Geoff!

  • The owners are English, and super friendly. They showered us with wine, coffee, and homemade bread & local eggs! Lovely countryside and view from the porch. The apartment was a large 2 bedroom. Super soft english bed. Short drive into Pescara, which is a large city with many amenities, restaurants, and beach. Also there is an ancient hill city nearby that is very cool.

  • To review the accomodation, the surroundings as well as the owners in 1 word; ‘Fantastic’!!

To review in more words, (email hidden) to be! The apartment is very neat and renovated in a style that fits the Italian scenery very nice. Old elements such as walls as thick as 1 metre, old ceilings, big stone walls are combined with modern equipment as tv/dvd, dishwasher etc. In front of the accomodation you have your own veranda for nice breakfasts in the morning-sun, enjoying stunning views into the valley with vineyards, olive-trees and even seaview.
Furthermore there is a swimmingpool, some beds to relax on, a seperate building with washing machine a bbq-facility and a pizza-oven. On the last evening Jan and Geoff made us a goodbye bbq with a lot of nice food and home-made pizzas.

The owners, Jan and Geoff, are wonderful people who do everything to make your holiday extra special and they give you the feeling that their home becomes your home during the holidays. On the first evening arriving in the accomodation, after descending the steep hill down to the house, they were waiting for us and welcomed us very enthausiasticly. In the house the oven was on, with home-made lasagna in it. There were also a lot of supplies available and home-made bread for the breakfast the following morning. All was included in the reservation and it made us feel at home instantly!
The first morning after arriving Jan & Geoff told us a lot about where to go shopping, what’s nice to see, where nice beaches are and what restaurants serve good food. They borrowed us a map of the surroundings and whenever we wanted some more info they were more than willing to help us find our way. Besides that they were also interested in just having a chat about our life in Holland, our interests and were very nice hosts to our little children (both aged 3) as well.

To conclude, I can recommend this accomodation to anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday in an authentic part of Italy, away from the busy city, still in reach of all facilities within a 15 minutes drive. And Jan & Geoff give your holiday just that extra bit to remember it for a long time.
