Welcome cottage, with essentials provided. Lots of space, idea for children, and great views. High quality gadgets and electricals. Light and airy space made us feel relaxed and able to enjoy the sun, with our the chill. Will definately be visiting again!
Liz made us feel most welcome. She is a warm and friendly yet practical and down to earth host who quite simply thinks of everything her guests need. The way the cottage was presented and the thought behind the provision throughout was amazing. The cottage was even better than suggested by viewing the website as it in reality seemed more spacious, had a stunning view and had so many 'extras' provided. The village is excellent for walking/cycling from and is very pretty in itself. The local pub is certainly a hub but in our experience was overpriced for basic fayre + was cash only. Don't let that put you off staying with Liz + Paul, we would return at the drop of a hat!
Liz is a thoughtful and friendly hostess and guaranteed the success of our trip within minutes of arrival by producing toys for our children to play with dying the week. The accommodation is of a high standard and lives up to expectations. Wonderful location with walks available from the front door. Great pub just down the road. Highly recommended!
Fabulous accomodation with everything you could possibly need. A real "Esacape to the Country" ideally located between York and Beverley.
We had an fabulous time at the cottage. It's in such a great location with a lovely view. The cottage is spacious, the kitchen has everything you might need and the beds are very comfortable. Liz was really helpful, had everything well organized and let us know she was available if we needed anything. The village of Goodmanham was very interesting and we enjoyed our walks and seeing the old church. The Goodmanham Arms Ale House is a two minute walk from the cottage and it's well worth a visit. The beer they brew was amazing and everyone there made us feel so welcome. We really enjoyed our time in Goodmanham and would love to stay in Liz's cottage again next time we're in Yorkshire. It really is a wonderful spot and is very highly recommended.

About the Host, Liz
I am a farmers wife, mum of 3 & granny of 2 boys aged 7 & 11. Having lived in Yorkshire all my life I know the area well. After many years in nursing I missed the one to one contact with people so we decided to convert our traditional farm buildings to holiday lets. Now other people can enjoy the peaceful countryside we take for granted. I manage the 2 holiday cottages personally & make sure everything is very clean & tidy. The cottages are well equipped but if there's anything guests feel we have missed I am happy to have suggestions.
As well as the cottages I help with our farm & haulage businesses. I am also a member of the village Parish Council & the village Church.
My husband Paul & I live on the farm so one of us is always at hand if you need any help or advice whilst you are staying here.
