The space
The home has been designed with you in mind. Amenities beyond comprehension, unique designs only at this destination, and spacious indoor and outdoor living.

The stylish living room features a refined tortoise-wood coffee table and one of a kind mirror, and vintage furniture, and a sliding glass door that shows views of the mountains that make you feel like you are in a dream. Guests can access via Smart TVs located throughout the house, many streaming services, and Amazon Alexa can set whatever mood of the music you want to listen to, or she can play her pick. Just ask her, she has pretty much everything. Each of the three bedrooms and two baths offers its own unique blend of modernized, traditional comfort.

Outside, there is a firepit that is one of a kind, for roasting marshmallows or just camp-fire talk. A cabana for relaxing, or for a peaceful yoga session. Pool and hot tub are some fun relaxing features and if you like water a little warmer we can make that happen as well. The patio has an outdoor dining table and lounge chairs for conversations or watching the amazing sunsets!
The combination of the rustic desert charm with contemporary features allows for a delightful experience. You can expect to be treated with warm, friendly hospitality that has been deemed "unparalleled" by many of our guests.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house (except garage) and yard including the use of the pool, hot tub, cabana, grill, and fire pit. Guests will enter the property using the main gate to the right side of the driveway. Guests will not have access to the left side of the house, back of the house, garage, and back and side of the pool area as these are for staff only. Guests are not allowed on top of the pool deck. The left side gate is our staff access to the garage/office area.

Other things to note
Up to six guests can stay at the property and we do not allow unregistered guests to enter. Registration of all guests is finalized on the day of check-in. Three vehicles can park in the driveway and there is no street parking allowed.
A $40 per guest per night (after 4 guests) will be automatically calculated in the reservation. It is important to register the number of guests at the time of initial booking.

The pool can be heated upon advanced request with a $100 initiation and $100 per day fee. Currently, for the winter season, the pool is maintained but covered upon your arrival.
Only two pets under 35 lbs will be allowed per reservation $100 per pet.

We value our community and respect our neighbors. The sound ordinance is in effect from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am and as a San Bernardino County, there should be “no speakers outside, no shouting, no yelling, no playing of instruments and no loud talking outside between these hours.” Sound travels faster and louder in the desert. Please refer to the map for reference to the house property line and surrounding neighborhood.

Trash is to be disposed of in the 4 big containers (trash and recycle) on the left side of the house outside the gate. If you have pets, please pick up and clean after them. Trash bags are located under the sink. We request that our Sunday guests bring the trash containers outside by the street next to the mailbox on Sunday evening as these will be picked up early Monday morning but if this is not possible we will handle it.

If the fire pit is used, please ensure that the screen door on the fire pit is closed and ashes disposed of into the metal trash bin next to the fire pit. Please do not use the fire pit if it is windy. Fireworks are not allowed.
Pool and hot tub are available for all guests. We do require that all guests sign the “Pool and Spa Waiver” prior to use. It will be included in your Casa Luisa Joshua Tree virtual package.

The hot tub must be closed, latched, and locked when not in use and temperature to be adjusted to 90 F before closing if not in use

We do suggest that you use the outdoor shower to remove any body oils or chemicals that you may have on your body

Please be mindful of water usage and turn off any faucets and not keep them running when not in use
Please turn off lights at bedtime and unplug any device after use

SAFETY
Smoke alarms are located in each room and a carbon monoxide detector is in the hallway. The fire extinguisher is next to the refrigerator.
Please follow local safety guidelines regarding COVID 19 and inform us if any guests develop symptoms or tested positive for COVID prior to check-in. If there are any concerns upon check-in, please communicate them with the staff, as we want to make sure that your stay is amazingly safe.
Guests will enter the property through the main gate on the right side (facing the house) via a code that will be provided prior to check-in. Guests will not have access to the left side gate and east side of the house – this is our staff entrance and exit to the garage/office area. In the event we do need to come to the property while you are a guest we will use this entrance and exit and we will inform you prior to arriving.
Electric shut-off breaker is along the back patio wall, gas valve behind gate west side of the house, main water shut off valve located behind mailbox in gravel area beside the driveway.
If you are the main guest who is booking we do ask that you relay our “House Guidelines” and all safety information to your guests.

We offer discounts to veterans or those who currently serve in the military, senior citizens, and social media influencers. No content will be shot without the owner's consent.

We value our guests’ feedback, please let us know if there are any concerns.

Thank you for letting us be part of creating wonderful memories!

Location

Joshua Tree, California, United States

Casa Luisa is in the heart of Joshua Tree, CA. Our place is a five-minute drive from the downtown tourism office on Park Blvd and a ten-minute drive from the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park.

This quaint town has popular local treats such as Pie for the People, the Joshua Tree Coffee House (well known for its nitrogen-infused coffee), and The Saloon.

There are a number of interesting places to see and activities to experience in Joshua Tree:

The Joshua Tree National Park
Guests can experience a ‘full tour’ of the park (800,000 acres at a glimpse) by driving between West and North entrances to see the famous Joshua trees and boulder fields. There are several key spots for taking photos, doing quick hikes, or spending half a day in one destination.

You will find observation points with breathtaking views and hiking trails.

Barker Dam is one of those stopping points with a fair amount of history and today forms a small rain-fed reservoir used by park wildlife.

Hidden Valley is a 1-mile loop trail with massive boulders through the legendary cattle rustler's hideout.

Keys View with an elevation of 5,000 feet has a stunning expanse of the valley, mountain, and desert.

Indian Cove is a popular campground with a half a mile trail that highlights the plant and animal life of a Mojave Desert wash.

Joshua Tree visitors will find events year-round. Camping, hiking, rock climbing, live music (Coachella and Joshua Tree Music Festival), photography (Milky Way photography lessons), yoga retreats (Shakti Festival), and natural serenity.

Nowhere else in the world can you find living organisms that could be alive a thousand years from now – they're the jewels of Joshua Tree.

My name is Joel, and I was born in the Philippines. I moved to the U.S. 20 years ago to follow my dreams and create a life in the United States. With a Medical Degree from a Filipino University, a good head on my shoulders, I chose to go back to school and currently work in Pharmaceutical Research. I currently reside in Los Angeles, and I have a dog named Simba, a French bulldog, pug mix, my child! I love hiking and I came across Joshua Tree National Park in 2018. I found it to be one of the most amazing geological landscape with the uniquely looking trees, and seeing the vibrant stars, I felt in deep awe. Soon I found myself a home which is now Casa Luisa Joshua Tree. CLJT is not just a house but a home that represents my home culture and the American culture. My love for plants and my green thumb that I got from my mother are placed all over the property, inside and out. Casa Luisa is named after my mother, who has inspired much of the house. My second passion is making art, and that you will find displayed throughout the house as well. I hope that when you come to stay, you will leave with a sense of peace and serenity, like I do when I visit. My home is now your home. Maraming Salamat po at Mabuhay!
