Casa Luisa is a mom-inspired, friend-approved boutique resort in the heart of Joshua Tree, CA.

This stylish vacation home is only a 10-minute drive from the National Park and boasts smart home amenities in the comfort of a luxury hospitality environment. Indulge in a private massage, sip coffee at sun rise, cool off in the refreshing pool or lay in the hammock and let the vibrant, star-filled sky mesmerize you.

Casa Luisa is the essence of an escape – it's your ticket to serenity.

The space
Casa Luisa is located just 10 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park's North Entrance and is surrounded with remarkable desert landscape. Our return guests tell us that they love staying here because they can relax their minds and recharge their spirits.

Expect to be greeted with the warming hospitality of this modern 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom desert oasis. The combination of the rustic desert charm with contemporary amenities allows for a delightful experience.

The sprawling backyard is the perfect complement to the desert landscape, and our pool and hot tub are wonderful escapes from the heat. The open-air hot tub seats 6 guests and the pool can accommodate many more.

Our fire pit reflects off of a re-purposed wooden backdrop with boulder rock seating. On the other side of the wooden backdrop is a heated outdoor shower, privacy screens, and a large private Cabana with a bamboo seating area illuminated by a lotus lighting fixture and Capiz shell lanterns. The upper patio area promises relaxation and comfort as you take-in sunrises and sunsets under misters. A BBQ grill is also available.

The stylish living room features a tortoise-wood coffee table and eclectic mirrors that accent a vintage couch and chairs where Alexa awaits with your favorite music playlist or countless viewing options can be accessed on the SmartTV against a mountain view backdrop. Each of the three bedrooms and two baths off their own unique blends of modernized, traditional comfort and the entire home features Wi-Fi high speed internet and USB outlets.

Guest access
Access to the entire house (except garage) and yard including use of pool, hot tub and fire pit. Guest will enter the property using the main gate on the right side of the house.

The side gate on the left of the house is for staff entrance to the garage. Guests will have access to the house via the gate on the right side as well as the yard facing the house.

We limit guest access on East side and back of the house. We also do not permit guests access the right side of the pool area as we have a pool pump and heater behind the pool.

Other things to note
• A maximum number of 6 guests can stay at the property and no unregistered guests will be allowed to enter. Registration is final on the day of check in. Up to 3 cars can be parked on the driveway and street parking is not allowed.
• We value and maintain peace and quietness in the neighborhood. Sound ordinance is into effect from 10 am to 7 am and as per San Bernardino County, there should be “no speakers, no shouting, no yelling, no playing of instruments and no loud talking outside”. Sound travels faster and louder in the desert. Please refer to the map for reference to house property line and surrounding neighborhood

• Trash to be disposed in the 4 big containers (regular and recycle) on the east side of the house outside the gate. If you have pets, please pick up and clean. Trash bags are located under the sink. We request that our Sunday guests to bring the trash containers outside by the street next to the mailbox on Sunday evening as these will be picked up early Monday morning.
• Fire pit if used, please ensure screen door is closed and ashes disposer into the 5 gallon receptacle next to it after use. Please do not use fire pit if it is windy. Fireworks are not allowed.

• Pool and Hot Tub use: all guests to sign the pool and spa waiver prior to use
• Hot tub must be closed, latched and locked when not in use and temperature to be adjusted to 90 F before closing.
• Please take a shower before using the hot tub to remove any body chemicals that could affect the pH balance.

SAFETY
• Smoke alarms are located on each room and a carbon monoxide detector is in the hallway. Fire extinguisher is next to the refrigerator
• Please follow local safety guidelines regarding COVID 19 and inform us if any guests develop symptoms or tested positive for COVID prior to check in. If there are any concerns that you find upon check in, please relay immediately on day of check in.

• Guests will enter the property through the main gate on the right side facing the house via a code to be given prior to check in. Guests will not have access to left side gate and east side of house as this is our staff entrance and exit to the garage/office area. We maintain the right to have access to garage/office area as needed.

• Electric shut off breaker is along back patio wall, gas valve behind gate west side of house, main water shut off valve located behind mailbox in gravel area beside driveway.
• Main guest booking this reservation to relay all house rules to any and all other registered guests on booking.

Location

Joshua Tree, California, United States

Casa Luisa is in the heart of Joshua Tree, a ten-minute drive from the Tourism office on Park Blvd. (which is the ‘downtown’ area) and a ten-minute drive as well to the North entrance of Joshua Tree National Park.
There are a number of interesting places to see and activities to experience in Joshua Tree.

The Joshua Tree National Park
Guests can experience a ‘full tour’ of the park (800,000 acres at a glimpse) by driving between West and North entrances to see the famous Joshua trees and boulder fields. There are several key stops for taking photos, doing quick hikes or spending half a day in one spot. If one drives without stopping from the North Park entrance to the West Park entrance in Twenty Nine Palms (next town), it will be approximately a 45-minute drive.

However, you will find stopping points with breathtaking views and hiking trails, that you may find yourself trapped in time.

Barker Dam is one of those stopping points and was built around 1900 to hold water for cattle and mining use. The dam today forms a small rain-fed reservoir used by park wildlife.
Hidden Valley is a 1-mile loop trail with massive boulders through the legendary cattle rustler's hideout.
Keys View with an elevation of 5,000 feet with a stunning expanse of the valley, mountain, and desert.
Indian Cove is a popular campground with a half a mile trail that highlights the plant and animal life of a Mojave Desert wash.

Casa Luisa is 5 minutes away from the Tourist center which is the central area in town. It has some popular local treats such as Pie for the People which has the best Calzone, the Joshua Tree Coffee House (known for nitrogen-infused coffee) and The Saloon Restaurant, a very popular bar/restaurant in a cowboy setting.

All year round travelers to Joshua Tree will find events whether for weekend warriors to hardcore aficionados (camping, hiking, and rock climbing), the music enthusiasts (Coachella and Joshua Tree Music Festival), the amateur and professional photographers (Milky Way photography lessons), the yogis (Shakti Festival) and just nature lovers. You might be surprised to find a tortoise along the way and get enthralled by the beauty of the park with this picturesque spiky-leafed green grow nowhere else in the world that could live up to a thousand years, the jewel that is the Joshua Tree.

Thank you for taking a moment in getting to know a little about the owner whose home you will be enjoying soon! I am a 46 year old professional with a medical background working in clinical research field. I moved to the US 20 years ago to pursue my own unique version of the American Dream. As one part of this Dream, I found a home in Joshua Tree that I have come to know and loved over the last year. I put many months of planning and collaboration to make this a premiere lux oasis in the high desert with all its amenities. In here, I was able to create a comfortable space that can host travelers from around the world to enjoy the enthralling beauty of this desert, to celebrate life and diversity. This house is truly special and is called Casa Luisa in honor of my amazing mother, who embodies warm Filipino hospitality to all and “joie de vivre”. From both us, Casa Luisa awaits! Maraming salamat po at mabuhay!
