•On weekdays, please put rubbish in a plastic bag and leave on the stair case landing below the front door to the apartment to be picked up by the doorman; on weekends and public holidays, please put rubbish in a plastic bag and leave in the space outside the front gate on the street, it is a space with a metal grill, located to the left side (facing the building, back to the beach) of the street gate; let me know if you have any questions
•As in the whole of Brazil, NO solid waste can be flushed down the toilet (including toilet paper), pls use the rubbish bin provided
•Please do not place any clothing or towels to dry on the front façade (balcony or windows) – this is a very strict rule for the building and I will be fined if it happens
•Please close the windows whenever you leave the apartment – it faces the sea and brief but sudden tropical rain storms can blow in without notice
•No smoking inside the apartment or in the common areas
•Although I love pets, the apartment is not suitable for animals
•Desfrute Salvador (enjoy Salvador)!
David foi muito atencioso, apartamento bem localizado, limpo e com instalções novas.
Host: David is extremely responsive, more than satisfactorily--nothing went wrong during my stay and he was basically on call for any questions or requests to improve my stay. Alex who picked me up and took me to the airport couldn't have been nicer or more reliable.
Place: strong internet and A/C. Pretty basic accommodations with a killer view// large windows onto water forever. The place is clean.
Location: totally sentimentally fixated on the location which is right above one of the nicest neighborhood beaches ... Good vibes ... Pleasant 10 minute walk along the ocean to restaurants and the more touristy portion of rio vermelho. Very happy I stayed a little bit further west. Felt totally safe at all hours too although that probably owes largely to everybody being outside all night during carnival.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!!
6 years without visiting motherland, I couldn't wish for a better apt to find myself feeling at home. Waking up every morning with ocean view reminded me why Salvador is so magical! David accommodate every little request promptly to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Really appreciate his driver picking us up and giving us a warm welcome!
Perfecto.
We only met David's driver, that was very kind and helpful. We talked to David by phone and email and everything went smoothly. He gave us a document with lots of informations about Salvador that helps a lot.
The apartment is basic, bright with good beds and partly equipped kitchen. It's perfect to cook simple meals (I missed a kettle).
The view is great! It's a very busy street in front of it, but with closed windows it's ok to sleep.
It's on the last floor, so just be prepared to lots of stairs (I was with my parents and they weren't very happy about it, but it's a very personal issue).
Welcome drink and fruits were very kind of them. Wifi is great.
El apto esta muy lindo y frente a una playa tranquila y a mts de rio vermelho que tiene un montóon de lindos botecos. Lo unico malo es qque hay que llegar cuando David pueda atenderlos!
Recommend this place if you are not too picky on cleanliness. Communication with David was super good and easy. He offered his driver Alex to pick us (against payment) up which was very helpful, safe and easy. Alex is a very nice helpful and happy guy and communication was fine even without portugues.
The apartment is located right in front of a beach.
Small markets for shopping are close by. The bus to the city center and barra are easy to reach by bus that leaves on the corner.
The beds are very comfortable and kitchen is equipped for cooking at home. Restaurants in rio velhmo are close by.
Thanks David and Alex!

I'm from Sydney, Australia, and live in Salvador, Brazil, with my beautiful Bahian wife Angela Paula and our spirited little Aussie-Brazilians Rafael and baby sister Eva. A lawyer and economist by training, I left management consulting over ten years ago, joining a nonprofit organization working across Africa and Latin America, before meeting my wife and settling here in the city that is the perfect expression of African soul and Latin American rhythm, melded during centuries into the truly unique cultura baiana. We love offering free advice to all visitors so that you can enjoy the well-kept secrets of Salvador; eg. live jazz at sunset at the restored customs house overlooking Bahia de Todos os Santos, Salvador’s best ice cream on the old seafront at Ribeira, or watching the ‘gente bonita’ (beautiful people) and tackling a great surf break at a classic beach bar on the northside of the city, and – of course – all the best live music events and festivals for which the city is renowned. Seja bem-vindo!
