The Latin and St Germain Quarter is full of history. First, it was a students district and universities which are built in this district, such as the Sorbonne or the Faculty of Medicine, are magnificent monuments. Life is really good and interesting in this aerea and it is a paradise for tourists , with so many monuments to visit such as Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris or “middle age museum of Cluny”, so nice walks, like among banks of the Seine, or Luxembourg Gardens ,so nice cafés like mythical “ café de Flore “ and café des 3 Magots “,
and so many kinds of entertainments

Love the location of this apartment. Everything and anything that you want to see in Paris is walking distance from here.
Great shopping, food options all nearby. Neighborhood was safe and clean.
Only knock i have is that the apartment was much much smaller than i had expected, but if you are in Paris I doubt if you will be spending much time indoors.
Delphine is a good host, communication and apartment key exchange off was quick and prompt.
This unit is in a great area. We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay in Paris largely due to the convenience of the location. Great places to eat and shop only steps away. The unit itself is nice, clean and cozy. Internet worked flawlessly.
My wife and I stayed in Delphine’s apartment seven nights.
On the positive side, Delphine was very responsive and helpful before the booking and during the check-in processes. Also, the apartment is in a great location, very central to most of the main attractions in Paris. It is well equipped.
- The description of the apartment should mention that the height of the ceiling in most of the parts (kitchen, toilet, shower, bedroom) is +/- 180 cm, which is not comfortable for tall people (my case). Also, the WC is very, very small.
- You are renting the apartment to an agency. When checking-in, we were asked to sign some papers that don’t belong to the airbnb process. This was clarified with a phone call to Delphine, so this was not a major issue. However, the apartment has neither the character, nor the comfort of a place where somebody lives most part of the time.
- Contrary to what is said in the description, the noise from the street is quite disturbing at night. There are several bars, pubs and restaurants in the street, which is crowded with people drinking and chatting.
In conclusion, responsiveness and great location (the best of my many stays in Paris), with some drawbacks (especially if you are tall).
Delphine was an excellent host and was very helpful throughout our stay. She arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and worked with our schedule to let us into the flat and show us around. The flat was very clean and the location was perfect! One small issue is that the ceilings are low in some areas, so if you are very tall this might not be the place for you, otherwise we have no other complaints.
Would definitely stay here again!
I did not expect the stiff stairs to get to the main room from the entrance but it was ok as Gabriella helped me with my luggage - the flat is very small but cute. Good for a couple with a length of 1,75 cm max (the ceiling in the mezzanine bedroom is quite low). Internet worked perfectly which was a must for me. The Kitchen's equipment are basic but this was fine for one week stay- The Location is amazing ( 2 min away from Mabillon metro station). I had an overall good experience.
My wife and I just had a wonderful stay at Delphine's place in St. Germain des Pres.
Communication was perfect before our visit and we were met by Phillipe, one of Delphine's associates, to check in and answer all of our questions about Paris. The location is great - only a 5 -10 minute walk from the M4 Metro stop and on a great street with many lively bars and restaurants. It was easy to walk to a lot of the major attractions close by and once again a 5 minute walk to the Metro to go elsewhere.
For Americans, the apartment would be considered small, but it is such a great value, that size didn't really bother us.
There is a small living room, kitchen (with freezer and fridge) and all the things you need to cook and eat. There is also a washer/dryer which was great. I had some trouble understanding the dryer directons, so I just hung my clothes outside.
The "upstairs" has two loft style bedrooms, one with a tv, and one with just a small bed on the other side. There is great TV and WIFI signal. (although for non-French speakers, the only channel is CNN - not a big deal as you are in Paris!). The shower had great pressure along with a handheld and a rain style shower head.
There are fans in the apartment to keep you cool along with an iron, ironing board, and umbrellas.
Overall a great experience for our first time in Paris and a great value - you could not find a better place in the same location for the same price!
I am torn with my review for this apartment. My husband and I stayed here for a week in September. The apartment looks exactly how it is pictured and it was very clean. The only issue was that there was a rancid smell in the refrigerator but we kept it closed and didn't use it so it did not affect us. The apartment is in an amazing location, tons of restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. close by. So many places to walk, metro very close, bus very close. Felt very safe in the apartment. At night, it was loud. Since it is on a street with restaurants and bars there was a lot of noise at night from those people. One of the issues I had was I spoke with so many people prior to renting the apartment. I was speaking with Delphine originally, whose apartment is listed. Then, I was speaking with a woman named Gabriella through Delphine's AirBnB account, then someone named Philippe was e-mailing me to my personal e-mail address. When I rent an apartment from 1 person, I don't like being passed around among other people. We never even met Delphine, Philippe checked us into the apartment, he was there on time. He provided us with paperwork from "Paris Select Apartments" which I also didn't like.If I wanted to go through a company like that, we would have done that originally. He required our credit card information for incidentals, which we had already provided to AirBnb via security deposit so my husband and I did not like that at all. There was a loft with a bed and the bed was not made. My husband and I were there together and did not need the loft bed, but I think it still should have been put together. The ceiling in the bathroom and upstairs is very low. My husband is over 6 feet tall and was having issues bumping his head on the ceiling and needing to bend down in the shower. Would definitely not recommend this apartment to those that are tall. Also, I have stayed in many apartments on AirBnb and (website hidden) and I have never been asked to take out all of the trash and strip the sheets. For this apartment they required that you empty all of the trash cans and also strip the sheets of the bed and put all of the sheets and towels in a pile. I have never had to do that before. We did ask for them to arrange a taxi for us for our departure, and they did that for us.
I stayed at Rue Princesse for almost three weeks, and had a wonderful time. It's true, the apartment is quite small (and if you're over 6 feet tall it could be problematic!), but it's extremely well appointed and maintained. The location is absolutely perfect, close to two metro stops, all the stores on Blvd St. Germain and Rue de Rennes. I had a couple of maintenance issues, but Delphine and her team were extremely quick to fix everything and followed up regularly to make sure I was enjoying the apartment. I would happily stay there again.
The location was fantastic. Many very good restaurants within a two minute walk and nearest Metro station. The apartment had everything one needed. Delphine was just so helpful and friendly. She was totally open to assisting us in anyway during our week long stay. Another excellent featurre of this place is that it is not directly on the street as it is set back a little. This reduced the street noise considerably, and in fact was the quietest place we stayed in during our 5 week holiday in France and Spain.
The photo on the website with the ladder going upstairs could be confusing as we were not sure if the ladder led to the main bedroom. This is not the case and it was fairly easy to go up the stairs to the bedroom and bathroom and we are a mature couple. The only thing to be concerned about is that I would not recommend the apartment to anyone over 6 foot tall, as the upstairs ceiling is quite low to anyone that height.
Overall I would highly recommend the experience of staying in this apartment, and the hospitality shown by Delphine. When we go back to Paris we will certainly try and stay there again.
