  • My partner and I took a short trip to Bali 2 weeks ago and we had the honour to stay in Vaness' bed and breakfast.

It is a cosy little housed tucked behind the main streets of Seminyak (2 min walk). We were warmly welcomed with the local seasonal fruits and a conversation with our host, Vaness, who brought us out to lunch at one of her favorite places to get her Indonesian lunch fix - Wurung Mimpi. As a freelance artist, her house is nothing short of am inspiring space, which showcases her taste - a beautiful mix between French and Balinese culture. I personally enjoyed taking long showers in her open-roof bathroom! And reading inspirational quotes, handwritten in chalk. She also arranged for us to have our massages and mani/padi done in her place, which was really cosy and convenient. At breakfasts with her, we always had a nice selection of home-made jams she makes - they were so delicious! Especially the pineapple ginger jam.

She graciously supplied us with ample time-alone, but her presence was always warm and inviting to us. She is also very honest and has a keen eye for wanderlust. We're so glad to have made a friend this trip! And we look forward to meet her again.

    We miss you, Vaness! *hugs*

  • Your top destination to discover Seminyak and the surroundings. Vaness will make sure you have absolute privacy in this beautifully designed villa

  • This little Balinese Villa is very cute. The garden is lovely & Vaness has put her nice little touches around. The position is very central for shopping & restaurants but quite a way from the beach - about a 30 minute walk. Be aware that there is NO POOL & only ONE BATHROOM (toilet is not separate) to share with the owner & other guests which may be staying. As mentioned there are two bedrooms. We had the room upstairs which required climbing up a steep staircase - a bit tricky if you needed to use the bathroom downstairs during the night. The Bali Bed in the garden mentioned is the owners bed so you cannot use it. Unfortunately there was an interruption twice with the water supply(over 12 hours) , very inconvenient to have no shower & not have a swimming pool as a back up (Toilet a problem). Nyoman (housekeeper) was lovely. She prepared a nice breakfast every morning. Whilst we enjoyed our time there we thought it was a little overpriced considering the facilities.

  • If you want to be emerge in the Bali atmosphere Casa Mia is what you need.
Very well located in the heart of Seminyak, at walking distance of the main street.
As soon as you enter the main gate you feel that nature is overtaking you and this provide a feeling of peace and silent.
It’s like you enter a different univers.
    The real Bali.
This house gives you the feeling to be part of it and in an instant you will feel home.
Vaness, your host knows how to welcome without intruding your privacy. She was able to make me feel it’s my house even so you I was just a guest.

You won’t miss her lovely fresh made breakfast (croissant - french bread and local fruits) compliment with her delicious home made fruits jam and fresh juice, Tea, Coffee all up to you..

I even got the chance on my last day to have French toast made by her Balinese housekeeper that’s was amazing culture exchange.. I think no need to say how much Vaness is integrated in Bali.
Do not hesitate to ask her where you should go if it is your first time in Bali. She has great recommandations which meet your expectations.

The open house concept gives a real feeling of space and freedom.
The best of it was for me to take my shower outside, make me feel like Robinson Crusoe.

This house is not for people who look for modern amenities like air-conditioning.
Instead it is for people who look for authenticity.
I guess or you love it or you don't.
Just by looking to the pictures and imagining yourself there you should have the right answer.

Un grand merci à toi Vaness

    Fred.

  • We stayed at Casa Mia in Nov. 2013 and really enjoyed it. Its a beautiful peaceful place, with a nice garden - loved the open air bathroom - and comfortable rooms. Location is perfect, in a quiet little street, only a few minutes walk from the main street, so you can go everywere by foot. Vanessa is a lovely and helpful host and we felt immediately welcomed - Merci for the nice breakfast (warm croissants, baguette, fruit salad...) and the great relaxing stay!!

  • Centrally located in Seminyak. Vaness was a lovely host and her place is a great oasis away from the busy-ness of the main street. 10-15 minute walk to the beach and very close to all the shops. No car or motorbike needed.

We received a warm welcome, Vaness & her Staff are great hosts, so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is just great, french croissants, delicious coffee & lovely homemade marmalade. The Massage we booked in advance was perfect to start our Bali trip in a nice & smooth way. For sure a place to come back again, high recommended!! Stefania & Francesco

  • One of my best AirBnb experience ! We laughed so much ! Vanessa knows how to make her guests comfortable to make sure they enjoy the most of their trip in Bali. Moreover, Vanessa is also a guide. I highly recommend you to book her as a guide for a couple of days before your trip, this way she will make you explore the most beautiful sides of Bali.

About
As 'Carpe Diem' person, I seize the day and every moment of life. I love to share the good experiences of life with family, friends and people around me. With my Bed & Breakfast in Bali, I found the perfect combination : hosting people at my place and guiding them through my local experience of 6 years in Bali. Fluent in French, english and Indonesian, I'm used to bring my hosts along my balinese life, a mix between the traditional indonesian life and my expat's life here. From the local morning market, the good restaurants/clubs around to the 'have to be seen" places, come along with me or tell me about your dreamed holidays and we'll help you to make it become reality! Vaness' in Bali And just to let you know, I also propose Travel Agency services to my guests (hotels and villa bookings and transport (motobike ( around 5$/day or car rental with driver ( around 60$/day) or without driver (around 38$/day, speed boat to Gilis (between 70$ and 100$ return ticket), Day tours around Bali, standart activities and visits and out of the tracks one like walk in the rice field with HHH, shower with balinese people under holy water shower or play at the secret waterfall at Gunung Kawi temple....). With 6 years of experience in Bali, speaking fluently french, english and indonesian, I even do guiding trip myself (500.000rp/day/pax minimum 2pax not include car or included motobike you drive)) + transport (driver with car or follow me on your motobike). If you need anything, tell me about you taste (adventure around Ubud, temples visit, traditional local life, market, shopping, trekking Mt Batur, Agung or Rinjani, massage and spa's around Bali, Honey Moon style vacation and much more...)  and I'll organize a perfect Bali journey for you. Have a good day!
