We do not accept reservations from men as the room is in our private home. Couples may inquire to be considered.

On quiet street with many trees and a large backyard. We are a 20-min. walk or 5-min. drive to downtown, Marlboro Grad Center, Latchis Theatre, Food Co-Op, theatres, shopping, Brattleboro Museum & Art Center One block from Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. On bus line.

Home of friendly mom & teen, one old cat, Luna, and mellow, friendly medium-small dog, Bodhi. We love to travel ourselves and look forward to sharing our home with you.

  • Rebecca was a great host! The room was homely, comfortable and clean. Rebecca gave good advice of places to visit in the area. I would recommend to anyone considering staying with her :)

  • Rebecca is wonderful. We had all these connections with her including Indiana and Seattle and she knew our friends in Putney, Vermont. It's a small world and she was an instant friend. The accommodations were comfortable and we felt at home in her guest room. We were only there a short time but we enjoyed every minute.

  • Rebecca is super, super, super! What a sweet lady & gracious host. She rescued me when I bailed on a smoky hotel room. She was easy to work with. No nonsense, and the room was peaceful, calm, clean and welcoming. I slept so late! I will stay there again.

  • Rebecca was very nice and helped me with my baggage. The room was clean and comfortable and I slept well. Didn't get a chance to visit much! Had to be up and out like a shot in the morning and got in just before bed. It was fine!

  • Quiet, serene and peaceful atmosphere. The house was impeccably clean. We felt well received. The dog and cat are adorable and very friendly. The location is perfect, on a quiet street, but walking distance to downtown Brattleboro.

  • I really enjoyed my stay with Rebecca and Emma. Their house is in a very quiet neighborhood that is a short drive (and about a 20 minute walk) from downtown Brattleboro. I loved spending time with all of their animals- Bodhi and Luna are adorable. I will definitely tell my family to stay here when I move to Brattleboro next year.

We enjoy our home as a place to rejuvenate and have quiet time (mostly) in the midst of our busy lives in southern Vermont. We have traveled to China, Germany and the UK as well as the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest. As a traveler, I try to figure out how to stay with friends or family as that always makes the trip extra special. I am a friendly yet reserved host -- will make sure you are comfortable, help you make connections in town, if needed, and then give you your privacy. A shared cuppa joe and friendly conversation are also welcome. We enjoy films, reading and the arts and learning. In the summer, our gardens are filled with perennials and easy to grow vegetables. Our old animals amuse us and behave most of the time. I have practiced Reiki for over 23 years ((website hidden)) and am available to give Reiki treatments if desired (extra charge).
