Room in a home

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
Fondly known as "Chateau Versailles" this large home sits on a hill on Spring Street with gorgeous Lake Champlain and Green Mountain views. The house is also a gallery space for the acclaimed photography of your host Peter and has other art as well. The house has a huge library/sitting/common room with gas fireplace with lake view. The guest rooms and much of the house have recently been tastefully renovated. Tons of off street parking with the capability to handle multiple vehicles.

The space
Bedroom 2 is on the second floor with a Queen bed, connected half bath and adjacent full bath. The room is upstairs with partial lake views and has a mini fridge, desk, USB ports and smart TV. The house has high speed wireless internet. Small well behaved dogs 20lbs and under are welcome. Larger dogs are considered depending on size and breed. Property has a monitored security system host can access 24/7.

Guest access
Guests are allowed to access their rooms, baths, kitchen, dining room and sitting room/library, and two small porches. Occasionally, the media room will be available for special movie/popcorn nights. This can also be requested, but not guaranteed.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house but is allowed on the front and back porch. I work with SailADKs as first mate on a Catalina 30 out of the Port Henry marina during the season so sailing lessons, cruises, and stay/sail packages can be arranged. Private photography lessons and experiences are also available upon request.

During your stay
I reside in the house and am generally available 24/7 unless I am traveling or sailing. I can help with suggestions for the area and in the future plan on doing boat tours of Lake Champlain. I have an adorable American Eskimo pup in residence with me whose name is Rocky. he is very friendly, well behaved, and playful.

Other things to note
As of the current date, early July 2021, guests are required to provide proof of vaccination. I myself have been fully vaccinated for several months

It is a five minute walk into town where restaurants, pharmacy, bank, and library can be found. It is a 2 minute drive to our great marina and beach. At the present time, restaurants are somewhat limited in town but there are many great restaurants and breweries within a 20 mile radius.
