Other things to note
Barranco has pubs like La Noche de Barranco that has a concert every day. The venue offers Jazz concerts on Mondays, more than 16 years ago, for free. Great bands of the national and local scene as foreigners play there. With his 25 years of life the night of ravine has taken adjectives like -the best pubs in Peru- personal as Paul Andrews, better known as Paul Di'Anno, was a prominent vocalist in the heavy metal band Iron Maiden to go through the pubs, Joaquín Sanbina, Enrique Bumbury, Amador Ballumbrosio, Cotito Medrano of NovaLima, Fito Páez, among others have passed through the premises and so many other bands that have played on the stage of the night, extraordinary local more than recommended.

Location

Barranco District, Lima Region, Peru

Barranco is a bohemian, cosmopolitan and traditional district of Lima. It is a district that has developed its own identity. It is common to find musical groups playing in the streets, find good gigs in pubs (some free), art galleries, street interventions, murals, and so many picturesque corners in the neighborhood. Unequivocally, Barranco is a unique, special place with its own identity, making it a place of joy.
Barranco is a small neighborhood, no more than 30 minutes to walk through. It is also an ideal place to go out jogging, as it lies in front of the sea. It also has good communication with Lima. It has a large supply of buses to the entire city, the Lima "metropolitano" system, plus taxis, bike rental, tram, etc.Barranco is known as the bohemian district of Lima, is the 2nd smaller district and everything is walking distance from home.
My block used to be just residential but know we have coffee shops, restaurants, a cultural centre and a gallery. Friendly and artsy neighbors too.
You can get the best ice creams, a really good ceviche in Barramar or Veridico de Fidel, or go and see some live music in the funnest bar in town (La Noche), or simply walk by the sea which was the 1st reason I moved in some time ago. At night you can sometimes smell the ocean and depending the time of the year, trees across the house get full of parrots.
El Puente de los Suspiros ("the bridge of sighs") is a very touristic area and is just about 150 mts from home too.

¡bienvenidos tod@s siempre!
