The Space

We have a bohemian, originally decorated flat right in the heart of the City of San Francisco! The Hayes Hotel borders the Panhandle, Golden Gate Park, and the legendary Haight-Ashbury neighborhood! You will be a few blocks from the places where Janice Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, and the Grateful Dead, lived (just to name a few). This is a nice-sized room with a huge private balcony facing the private backyard and garden. The balcony is a perfect place to lounge and rehabilitate after a long day of exploring all of the amazing sites that San Francisco has to offer. The room has a large closet and is comfortably furnished. The apartment is decorated with an Eastern and Central Asian theme, and definitely feels like a home! It is also equipped with a cable T.V. in the living room, a full kitchen, and a bathroom you will only have to share. Please look at our other listing for group options. We also offer free organic coffee and tea and fresh Persian/Middle Eastern flatbreads with jam and feta cheese can for an additional $5 a day. If you are interested in this service, please indicate so in your reservation.

It should be noted we recently adopted a kitten, so you can't be allergic to cats. The kitty stays with Gina in her room and the cat box is in the master bedroom so there should be limited interaction but there is a cat in our home.

The neighborhood is North of Panhandle, close to Golden Gate Park and a 5 minute walk to the Haight Ashbury full of vibrant shops, restaurants, etc. Near the 21 Hayes Bus line, you can get to downtown in 25 ish minutes on the bus to Bart . Also just a 10 minute walk to the Conservatory of Flowers, the DeYoung Museum and the Academy of Sciences.

You can find street parking along the Panhandle and in the neighborhood, talk to the host about more details.

You will share the apartment with an artistic, multi-cultural, and musical couple. Gina, your hostess, has lived in S.F. for more than a decade, and is very knowledgable about all things San-Francisco! She looks forward to meeting you and providing a comfortable, easy, and fun stay.

Also included: Internet, Cable TV, Laundry in the Garage, Bicycle Parking, Cleaning in the Common Areas.

Nighty, weekly, or monthly guests welcome.

If you have a car, you can park in front of our drive way and block the garage and or have the garage space. Please email for more info.

We hope you have a very comfortable stay with us and enjoy the conversation.

Guest Access

You can use anything in the kitchen, please let us know what you need or want to make your stay more enjoyable.

Interaction with Guests

We like to be social and interact with our guests. While you don't have to tell us every detail of your day, we wouldn't like it if you just look down and pass by the hall way without saying hi and avoid interaction and stay holed up in your room. We like to have a warm, social environment.

The Neighborhood

We are in the middle of the City so in the heart, and right next to the Panhandle along Golden Gate Park, a 5 minute walk to the Historic Haight Ashbury and we can get any where on the bus in around 20 minutes.

Getting Around

The 21 Hayes Bus is right on the corner as well as the 43 Masonic. We encourage you go get the applications for your smart phone and get familiar with the area on maps.

Other Things to Note

We are a shoes off apartment. We ask you rinse your dishes before placing them in the dishwasher and after your shower, please wipe off any hair and crack the window so the room can breathe. Please remember to turn off the heater and any lights.
